ok, back to the monster. this photo is one i took. and the monster just keeps getting overhauled

crystallized...hmmm... didnt see it that way before. i saw it as like one of those old, old photos, black and white and showing its age. but crystallized... hmmm...

yeah, a fade to black wouldnt be bad. a lot of those old tintypes did that. i considered scratches, but this is one of many presets in a filter that otherwise doesnt really want scratches. so, maybe down the road

Yours seems to work better though. I use medians instead of blurs I think.
