Like your Kiko loves shadow, good artistic composition, good colors and effect.
i do not understand what do you mean with Escher bomber experiment, I mean where is the Escher part? I know who Escher was as it was a very famous artist |

So the Escher means in this case about the overlay shape that is tiled over the source image, I understand it now

It seems that in this new triangulation filter it depends much the settings you may use and the source image, as the first 2 examples, are good and nice I like them, but the next 3 example are not good, and do not like, but rhen the last 2 examples, are good again. so as it happens with many filters, it will depend much on settings used and source image
breaking news : the ladybug has been triangulated , poor ladybug ![]() The triangulator has been seen around filter forge street where the ladybug has been and then the triangulator has used his filter power to triangulate her. |

The "Escher style" pictures are very nice and can be a good base to create new filters. Great works.

Yes SpaceRay. I think that many of the good or bad results depend on the original image. There are many factors that may influence the result.
For example, the complexity of the image is very important. Many filters perfectly working on our lifesaver don't work so well with the tree picture. Also the color is of huge importance : abstract filters may work well on images with neat color borders and big color differences, but generate confuse results on images with very similar colors variations. |

Thanks all. I agree, most abstract filters need something to work with. If there are no large areas of interest (color, pattern etc) then the filter won't work so well. Also with this filter each tile level depends on a Threshold, meaning that there are many variations, that was the point, for utility (read variety). And each level may have a different shape and optional color grout.
The "escher bomber" (still looking for a better name) will come out in FF 5 when filters start being accepted. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

I am taking a look at the famous 17 Wallpaper Groups. I plan on slowly getting around to putting out all 17 of these. I have pretty much finished one as a test to see how it would go. Here is a test result from Wallpaper Group 6 p2mm. Here is a link to the 17 Wallpaper Groups.

True, especially for about 10 of the 17 wallpaper groups. Many of the wallpaper groups are not symmetrical along the tile edges, which looks funny with most photographs. I started with the wallpaper groups that have more edge symmetry.
I will probably create some geometric graphics to go with all of the wallpaper groups and post some examples. Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

If I understand right you are going to be able to recreate and make one filter or preset for each one of the 17 wall paper groups and I think that this really an awesome idea if you are able to do it with FF
Congratulations for the great idea and for all the work to be done for this, it will be really helpful and useful |

Very nice trick, my man!
