Five from a series of ethnic/rustic renders making use of Substance Designer for speedy Distance Field Generation:

The following one uses the process*: Sea Scrolls -> SD -> Landform
The following two use the process*: uberStones -> SD -> Landform

Finally, the following two use the process*: Density Plot -> SD -> Landform

Here's a quick example of how 'scale' is an important factor when applying some effects. The initial image at 1.0 scale:

and here is a diagonal 3 part 1.0, 2.0 and 4.0 scale for comparison:
So the process: upscale->effect->downscale is an important one at times. _____________________________________________________

			Type the following:

			1) A fancy perlin offset:
2) goes to an erosion method in Substance Designer:
3) goes to the aforementioned method approximately:
Then click 'Post Reply'. _____________________________________________________

Another similar process that uses a source similar to 'Sine-O-Graph' (in this case a parametric spline curve generated in Mathematica) which is sent to a distance field generator in Substance Designer:

That underlaying image is then self-offset/eroded with various gaussian blur strengths on the offset (10 and 40 in this case) and then treated with the 'Landform' process:

Slowly but surely arriving at something that might soon start to resemble a sea sponge or some other creature of the deep. _____________________________________________________

Was using a mod of Spirals Round 2 (Thank you Sphinx!!!), to generate:
as a source and realized that my trace method closely resembles the 'Landform' process, but in ~1/3 the time!
