Is there a specific component in FF that helps a texture filter to detect the shapes or selections(masks)in picture and apply the texture in a way that follows the contours of a mask or shape.

Well, as far as I remember there can be some information about this where it has been tried to make something to detect an edge or selection and apply the FF filter to it, here are some of them Follow an edge by Carl And the filter that was made available in the FF library by Carl after this thread above Wicked Weave by Carl And the comments forum thread to see some examples I have done with it Comments about Wicked Weave by Carl _____________________________________ ALSO Stitched Up by Mongoose King, has made some similar thing that is shown in this comments filter thread ____________________________________ Directional Paint Strokes filter by ThreeDee Search for it in this thread link ___________________________________ Also from this idea there is also the Comments about Van Gogh Flow by Darrell Plank I think that there are other possible examples of filters that may also be used to follow a edge, but I do not remember now, will put it if I find it Hope this helps in some way
Yes, I agree, it happens to me too, and is bad that is too late to correct it, although the error is not very bad and can be understood, ther eare much bigger mistakes |

Thanks SpaceRay I'll look through those. I suspect there is no one component that can do that, but that it will be a group of them needed.

Glad that they may be helpful for what you want
I have remembered the other filter I knew was related to this edge finding, and is also related to the Van Gogh flow, but in another way It is Jelly beans art making with a Filter Forge filter would be possible? And here is the final filter available in the FF library that Mongoose King made derived from this thread above Jelly Bean Art by Mongoose King Also I have made some possible experiments with the Van Gogh Flow technique, although is not oriented to follow an edge, only to follow the shape and orientation, and do not care much on the edge exactly. Nice Van Gogh Flow filter variations of the main shape used ______________________________________________________ And I have just remembered another one like this that also follows the shape of the image edges and is Paint Chips by b15fliptop |
