Haha strange title but it was just something off the top of my head smile:)

So here's something I'm playing around with. Sort of a cross between someone circuit bending a plasma TV and those scenes in movies that have an artificial intelligence that has been destroyed and you see the face on the screen dissolve against the inner workings of the machine.

I know it's another circuit board filter but I don't think I've seen any that mix it with images and electricity yet...

It's always nice to see people start their own FF experimentation threads. And there's nothing like a good alliteration for the thread title! smile;) smile:D

Thanks Crapadilla and Eve! I love experimentation threads as you can learn a lot from them.

So here's how it looks now after some more work on the circuit board to give it more texture. I'm trying it out on something other then the FF sample images here to see how it looks on different things. Due to the dangers of file size limits, the image quality is pretty bad.

Wow, the eye image is perfect for this effect - it looks like a finished artistic project - "the mind's eye". You've done a fantastic job.

Thanks Eve and I love the title! It really works so well with eyes and faces. I'm definitely going to submit this one when it's done smile:)

Experiments with checker and offset components (among other things). This one uses an image...

Nice filter! I wanted to see how your filter result can be used as a basis image for other filters, so while experimenting I applied Jffe's Mirror Me Image filter and then Stefan Beckmann's Object Waves 3D filter to your second image and came up with this rather frightening image:

It looks like the upper torso of a woman with a little monster growing out of her body. Years ago I saw a weird movie that did have a little monster growing out of someone's body, and this reminded me of it!

Thanks and I love the result of your experimenting! To me it looks like an abstract closeup of a tiger face or the face of some kind of weird gelatinous gnome smile:)

It actually turned out to be a really fun filter to play with. Although it has much more potential as a texture rather then a distortion effect (as in the first example). So I'll concentrate on it as a texture filter.
