Just a preview of a filter I'm making now. It's a map for a 3D sphere to create an earth-like planet. The map is squashed near the poles and I've tried to cover up the apex uv distortion by simply adding a big ice caps. I'm still working on the clouds, they still need more realism.

That's really neat
 .....and seems like it would be alot of fun creating different worlds, atmospheres, rings, etc.... Nice Steve

It's uploaded under the name 'Terraformer'. I'm still not really happy about the clouds but it's good enough for now (I really wanted those cool swirly patters).

nice. and i like the spinning globe on that link.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
