Kraellin, I really think you have something with the first and last pics.....where you have the differentiated textures between the water and rocks....and you can still tell that it is a waterfall. If I had to pick between the two, I would say that the effect on the first pic is quite unique with the crystalized water and color.... It is so unique, I wouldn't know what to call it....

I was wondering if this mod came from the old "UltimateGlassWorx" version or the recently submitted version?

thanks, guys. i do appreciate the feedback. and as such, i've made some adjustments. this may not be quite in the direction you suggested, but i'm still working on that still, i like this one. i'm trying to get a little more definition from the original image so that the final is a little more clear what it is.

well, that first one reminds me of smooth opaque glass, or opaque colored plastic and that's not really what i'm going for here. but, i've saved the filter that had that in it and can always come back to it and develop that line more.

what i'm trying to get here is more like the third one, since that's the one i liked most. but, never neglect your audience, right? so, i'm still refining. i've got two legs in this thing, but they're mis-matched right now, so, i'm looking at balancing both legs more closely together. the height part is fairly simply; it's the dark and light legs that i'm having a bit of trouble with at the moment.

also, i like #2, but only partially. to me, that one has an almost mercury look and i find that appealing. a flowing mercury filter would be interesting. or, ooooohhh, and i like this idea, a flowing mercury waterfall! now that might be quite interesting!

in this one, i like the colors but i'm still blowing out the whites at times. something i have to fix yet.

When I look at those last two, the first word that pops into my head is "Mistify"....

I still think pic #1 at the top is by far the best.....okay, okay, I'll shut up about pic #1 LOL....

well, i had to remove this from being a 'surface' type filter. there seems to be a bit of an anomoly or oddity with surface types in the high luminance. maybe it's not an oddity, but i dont like it, so i changed this to a simple filter and it's now about ready. just have to dress it up a bit.

and in case vlad or any of the FF team wonders what i'm talking about with the oddity, it's a case of the whites being taken to very high contrasting giving a steep depth between the whites where there really shldnt be, in my opinion. and there's no real good way to smooth this out without taking the height down to 0. the reflective blur wont do it and reducing the reflectivity wont do it. it seems to mostly just show in high whites where there's a tiny bit of contrast in the original. this contrast gets exaggerated beyond what it shld for such a tiny difference in the whites. but, maybe that's the way it's supposed to work, so ok. but it just gives such a big step in height that i couldnt use 'surface' here.

at any rate, here's the current default setting with stevie's waterfall pic.
