is that 'old news' one of yours?

it looks like something out of the old 'Life' magazine. very nice. a touch more yellowing wouldnt hurt there.

Yep I had to get away from the 3d stuff for a bit to get the eyes rested
This was one I was thinking about finally got around to doing it...
The yellowing can be added in the filter by some controls I put in....
Well I was comparing the results of this filter to some old photos I found online
they looked like they could have been in the "Life" mag..

Whenever I think of old newspapers, this is usually the first article to come to mind... not quite mutant or killer, but pretty dangerous nonetheless X_X Of course, this article was probably contrasted up on purpose, so it doesn't look like a real old newspaper, but still... well, things like this stick with you for a while.

[off topic] When are you coming back over to the dark side? .....3D algorithmic patterning and such? Wouldn't it be nice if FF had an x,y,z environment and you could type in equations to create these? I think that it would make these filters much faster than having to use all those components.....which makes it take forever just to render a 600 x 600. I would think that it would be easy to create because the x,y,z coordinate system is already set up to give height for the lighting.....

You mean like this..I wanted to add more but its also a slow moving filter.

The detail work on the first one is amazing....probably why it's slow. I'm not even going to bother asking how you get the edges to look like fractals The pattern on the second looks like the beginning to a smooth 3D vortex tiler.....very nice!!!

Man, I can't wait to learn how to do this....but I'm currently sucked in on about 20 different glass filters.... You wouldn't happen to offer an on-line class to learn how to do this

I have to tell you, every time I look at your work, I start envisioning the patterns in 3D glass....kinda like my own personal goal to achieve. Don't get me wrong, I'm anamoured with your work 'as-is'
