More stylized than realistic.

Hmmmmm.....I see what you mean. What do you think I should address to make the glass look more real?

Ah, I see one problem.....I forgot to put the image slightly out of focus to show depth.....like in this clear version.....

just a thought here... and not sure how you could do it, but i just thought of veining with glass, or vice versa, have the glass and vein it with something more opaque. also, you could try making a base crystal color and adding just tiny bits of color. by adding a hue/sat component to the color side and then taking many saves, you could make quite an animation.

been working on that one.....running glass veins along edges.....and trying to create glass roots over image objects....

another idea that comes to me from that first pic... quartz. quartz is a semi-opaque, but looking at that first one and imagining some mineral content in there, it's not far off.

Yeah, should cover Quartz Crystal.....but will be dependent on the original image properties for the result.....

Not quite yet.....seems like I'm trying to fine tune 50 different filters at once smile:) Someone said "constantly changing focus creates instability".....which I'm finding to be quite true..... smile:)
