this one is a spin-off of 'the monster'. or rather, it's one of the many legs of the monster. i happened across this one the other day but was too busy then to pull it out and make it its own filter.

the original image is my rose image.

If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

i thought about making that 2nd one its own filter and maybe calling it 'dried leaves' or something like that.

I like the relief of the pedals in the second one.....and how it looks embossed onto the stone wall smile:)

I take it that the stone effect is just from the image backgound. Might I suggest using perlin noise to create separate and different stone backgrounds.....then merge with threshold so you could make it look like parts are emerging from the rock, the rock is growing into it, or the image takes on the rock texture.....

that's an interesting idea. you mean like jffe's grid filter? not gonna happen in this filter, but certainly something to consider.

Looks an interesting effect - reminds me of pressed flowers between the pages of a book - I was curious what the second preset would look like on a landscape smile:?: ............ Carl smile:)
