 this effect gave me the idea of randomizing texture with noise distortion in another glass filter series.....  Steve

i'm losing track of your glass, steve. how is this one diff from the ripples one? more pitting/grain in the ripples? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

RippledGlass is french-curve to uniform.....this one is rough random to random straight.....similar but different when stretched.....I'm covering it all

ah, ok.
just the beginning? will there be any sand left in the world when you're done?  If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

LOL.... Nope  I actually started doing glass filters along time ago for personal use.....just never got around to polishing any of them for submission.....except for "ExtremeGlass".
I have a few 3D Chrystalizers that you may be interested in using....from what you mentioned in another post...... Steve

PS..... All of these effects can be achieved with any of the noise components.....very different effects unstretched, but only slightly different when stetched. I converted all of them over to Perlin Noise because it is much faster than the other components.....and has the option for any angle as opposed to just horizontal and vertical with the other components...... Steve
