These are my first three filters so feedback and critiques are highly appreciated. I'll update with links to the pending filters when they are approved.
Hazard Wall (Submitted) I wanted something for the wall of a forgotten subway, or maybe a silo walkway. I like the weathered, grungy, urban look so this was kind of a natural first filter for me. ![]() Hall 77 ![]() Third Rail ![]() Bunker A ![]() Limited Access ![]() Flashing Yellow ![]() Level 9X ![]() Mosaic Tile Border (Pending) I liked some of the tile making filters in FF but I wanted something to make the decorative borders that might run around the edge of a pool, or maybe in a bath. These are all made by adjusting the controls. Southwest ![]() Mayan Temple ![]() Hospital ![]() Emerald City ![]() Irish Pub ![]() Poolside ![]() Rotten Castle Wall (Pending) I'm working on something that needed a tightly packed almost flagstone like wall but with some rough tool marks around the edges of the blocks. Some of the other areas are going to be older so I needed to be able to 'rot' the edges with some discoloration. welcome to FF, deadjason.
i wouldnt change a thing in the first one, hazard wall. looks real good. on the second, i have a question regarding the first three images. can you vary the highlights there? i like the patterns and so on, but the highlights on the tiles are giving an impression of a wavy, irregularly surfaced surface. so, i'm wondering if that's a variable. the fourth and fifth are more what i'd expect to see on a tile surface. and on the last one, i like them all, though the last two images are stretching reality a bit ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Hi deadjason - I think I agree with Kraellin - Your Frieze tiles look good the Hospital one shows the top and bottom patterns the same, is that a controlable option ?
![]() Nice start to ff............ Carl ![]() |

@Kraellin: Yeah, I'm not happy with the highlights either. I'm going to tweak that and do an update. The last two 'Rotten Castle' were just playing around with the settings. The one does make me think of that colored, Black Hills gold though.
@Carl: There are controls for all three areas. Hospital has the same settings in top and bottom. A match option would be cool, I'll have to look into that. Here are the links to the filters: Mosaic Tile Border Rotten Castle Wall Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming. ![]() |

Hazard Wall is very creative~ Love it.
Mosaic Tile Border was very intersting and had to do a double take---> I would use this kind of filter when not using my own. My fav of the three. Really like what you did with this one. (((Impressed))) ![]() Rotten Castle Wall, very nice, but it doesn't look like a castle wall to me. More like it should have the name 'Stone Mason'. Love the filter~ the bricks are fairly shiny for bricks though. Very nice work!!! Downloaded both~ ((Thank you for creating them.)) ![]() ![]() ![]() |
