Oh thanks Steve~ smile:fairy: smile:fairy:

That one looks brassy to me too but I didn't have the heart to cut it out of the presets. Gives a bit of depth to the 20 presets.

Not a lot of controls on this one, basic frame controls for width, margin ect.

The look is a solid gold frame. 'Couldn't help myself, diamonds on one filter, gold on another'. LOL

I'm playing with curves and grad's today. smile:D smile:D smile:D The last one I put up Tarpualin earlier today for a sneak peek was also curves and grad's.

Oh the one I was playing with--------> Caramel and Chocolate~ Very happy with that filter. None of the presets however show the lovely designs it creates--> and thought the filter had more focus showing the confections it loves to make. LOL

Caramel and Chocolate is 'curves and grad's'. Lots and lots of curves~

A interesting tidbit about Gold Frame you might be interested in is that I was almost able to make it a simple filter, the only reason it is a surface fitler was for the 'blur' component. Because if you look at the reflective and metal values they are turned to '0'. The gold comes from gold gradients. Curves and Grad's.

Still in a curves and grads mood so looks like I'll start another. smile:D

Lynn and Steve thanks again for the compliments~ As you both know when you're soooo tired from staying up late making filters the compliments are very nice!~

I agree with you there Jean, good thing my hubby is used to me pulling alnoghters. If its not one graphic program it another one that I stay up all night for.
A couple friends of mine have been complaining to me since I haven't done any renders in vue or poser latey. I told the I am having way to much fun in filter forge to be playing around in the other program lol

smile:D smile:D That's the nuts and bolts of the thing~ It takes time to make graphics and, making filters are time consuming~ it's a juggle.

For me it's graphics, filters, and I need to work on the web space----> also going to have to take some time this year to learn Vue. ((Havn't started my trail time yet.)) Right now while we have trial time with FF it's smart to be making filters. You are doing great!~ smile:fairy:

I agree with you there, besides poser is not going anywhere and also, I haven't really bought anything new for poser. I am still in daz3d site everyday checking out what new and just in case they have something I might like lol.
Any way around the first week of augest, I will be building a new computer for me and it will be for graphic programs only.

Oh having a computer just for graphics making --------> Priceless!~ smile:D

Unfortnately I'm clearing out mine and will be giving it over to hubby and daughter next week. Moved everything over on this one ... what I didn't burn on CD for later use. A lot of my older art, photos, etc,.

Now aboutthe daz3d extras. How hard would it be to make extras in 3D? I'm a 2D artist so I may have silly questions like this one, but I'm very curious~

Jean I am also a 2d artist, I use poser just like anyother tool. For example. in my render of Evening Storm, I posed the mill horse and added a few props, once I was happy with the way he looked, I added a black background , rendered and saved the render as an png. Saving the render with an black background gives the edges a nice smooth look. Then I open the png in paint shop pro and export as a tube. The rest is done in layers. I hope this makes sence to you

LOL Lynn~ Yes it's a language I understand. I know your a 2D artist too~ smile:D Love both the images. On the first one I'd consider going in by hand with a zoom of 500 or more on some of the black edging at the bottom of the unicorn and also at his chest and legs. Extract the darker tones from each area around that part of the unicorn----> this adds a more natural shading then an outline.

One of the reasons I think both of us picked up on FF so quickly would be our years making graphics,,, you've got 5 years in I've got 10. That's a long time. When you think about FF we've hit the ground running~ smile:D And I think that's because of our graphics/fitlers background.

On the second one the two outer horses and the bunny at the bottom looks a bit cut out-----------> easy to fix. Zoom in 600 or more and pixel by pixel at the edge take the blur tool (set the tool so that it is not too strong) and gently blur the very outer edge. When you go back to actual view it won't look cut out.

Both graphics are beautiful!!! And all the work you put into them shows~ smile:fairy: Just adding a few tips. Stunning images~

Your 2D and 3D works are lovely~ smile:D

Thank you very much for your tips will right it down and put in my little book book I have you graphic tips.

When I started out with paint shop pro, one of the very things I learned to make was seamless tiles. I have gotten to a point that I can take one image and make around 100 seamless tiles from it and no 2 will look the same. I think the most tiles I have made in an evening was give or take a few was 1000.

As far as filters goes I have so many of them its not funny, some I use alot.

Our love of background tiles when making grpahics is one of the things we have in common. smile:D

My second web site was a background tiles site ---> Over 1000 tiles I'd made on that site alone. Been making them for almost a decade now. Then I used to make forum skins because it was a way to use 'backgrounds'. It's a forte of mine. Yours too obviously. I could tell by looking at your background fitlers that you'd made a lot of backgrounds. One of the many reasons I like ya!~ smile:D smile:D smile:D

I only mentioned those tips because I'd run into that before and using the black to make an outline was smart. As we both know the cutout will take on the color it is taken off of. Personally I've tried many ways and the old fashioned 'do it by hand' always turns out the best verses short cuts (for when I have to cut out).

And the thing about FF------> we do have to cut out some time. Not sure if you've made graphics with the filters yet but be prepared to cut as FF leaves a white frame around the object (sometimes). Not always.

Lynn I just want to tell you again that I'm so glad you are making filters and in the Users Gallery. I love looking at your beautiful creations~ and I respect you as a graphics artist too~ (2D and 3D). smile:D

Oh filters yes, lots. Now the challenge I've had lately is to use 'FF filters only' when making images to show in the comments area. It's really hard at first not to go to your other filters. Really hard. And I wanted to stay away from inhouse filters for the examples as well,,, again really hard not to use. Obviously I'll use every filter I have for web site projects but when I'm making an image here it's just FF filters.
