Oh well here it is~ Been working very hard~ Just sent it off to the library. The images are compressed and resized to 80%. If you love quilts you'll love browsing these presets when the filter comes out.
Here is the information on the filter: This filter is inspired by many of the beautiful quilt shows I've been to. Quilt Show is a filter that gives not one quilting block but rather the entire finished quilt. Unless you'd like to add a finished edge. All the quilting squares are preassembled for the Quilt Show filter. I do have a 'Country Quilt' filter if you want to make the quilt and there are example images in the 'Country Quilt' comments area for that filter. This filter is dedicated to all the wonderful ladies and men out there who make quilts. 20 Presets Included (For making presets I've found size 120 or in that range give or take 20 pixels works well.) Control panel settings include: Quilt Control 1 Quilt Control 2 Quilt Control 3 Blend Squares New Unwashed PreSewn Squares PreWashed I reccomend saving the seamlessly tiled images produced by the filter, then adding those images as 'fills' that you can store in your paint program for future projects. ~ Enjoy Click to view larger image~ ![]() |

Hi Lynn,
((((Thank You )))) What I tried to do was to use fabrics and colors that I've seen in the Quilt Show Quilts. Quilt shows for me are a humbling experience... I gap in awe at all the lovely creations and the time and heart put into them. You can see the creative process leading to this filter by looking at the filter I made just prior to this one... 'Stencil'. It was when I was working on stencil that I started thinking "You know I might be able to make a whole quilt with a filter". And I knew then the next filter would be a quilting filter... but I didn't want to say I was making a 'whole quilt' just incase I ran into problems and could not do it. As it turned out----------> I ran into 2 hours of trouble shooting once the filter was done and I'd already made the 20 presets and had to redo the whole filter. ![]() So here I am completely done and I look closely at the presets----> sure enough a thin black line running thru some of them. ![]() This filter was a personal challange and as soon as I get caught up on posting I'm going back for more punishment (LOL) and make a version 2. ![]() This time I'll have my hammer ready... ![]() http://www.filterforge.com/filters/ca...page1.html Something funny if you want to look at this pattern category----> 15 on the front page are my filters. Hehehehe, LOL. I see you in the other category----> come on over to this category too---> the waters good~. It is so wonderful I found a friend who has tons of experience making backgrounds like I do. It's a blessing to have found you for a graphics friend. Now about the quilt filters and FF, would you belive when I started on April 16th... there were no quilting filters? I was floored... ![]() Well I have two days left before summer break an my schedule around here changes. So I'm going to get caught up on posts then start making a 'Quilt Show 2'. Wish me luck----> think ------>'no black lines'. LOL Hugs Jean |

jean,
ok, this is more what i was talking about with the diamond shape of the kaleidoscope removed. these are good and exactly what i meant in that other comment! (you'll see the comment i made in your other quilt filter. i made that one before seeing this one). so, nicely done! If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

((Your Very welcome Jean))
'no black lines
I am possitive that your second one will get as great as the first one. Everything will fall into place for you.
Something funny if you want to look at this pattern category----> 15 on the front page are my filters. Hehehehe, LOL. I see you in the other category----> come on over to this category too---> the waters good~
I noticed that you are in the effect filters, pattens, not really sure what that intails as far as the filter. If you can give me a little more imformation on it I am surely will give it a go ![]()
So here I am completely done and I look closely at the presets----> sure enough a thin black line running thru some of them. Angry No way I was going to load a filter with that line. I found the problem... fixed it. But... in the fix the quilt loses pattern and 'color'. Nope, can't load it now either. What was the problem?, well I had to unplug one of the curves for one of the grads
I had a problem with my quilt pattern last night also, will be updating it within the next day or so. I also noticed that if you change one node or forget, it can change the whole appearance of your final product.
It is so wonderful I found a friend who has tons of experience making backgrounds like I do. It's a blessing to have found you for a graphics friend.
I am also lucky to fined another friends who has lot of knowledge with backgrounds. This is a great place to learn and to make new friends, it not like most of the forums I have been into. Here everyone is supportive and very helpfull.
Well I have two days left before summer break an my schedule around here changes. So I'm going to get caught up on posts then start making a 'Quilt Show 2'. Wish me luck----> think ------>'no black lines'. LOL
School here has been out for awhile, this was the last year for my stepson to be in school. Now he goes to work full time and things in his life are changing, I hope he can deal with them. I am running behind today, so I am catching up on posts, before I start playing around in FF. My guinea pigs wanted my full attention, as soon as I have gotten up. All 4 of them were rattling thier cages. So I needed to settle them down. I am also waiting for an package to arrive, so I can get the last filter cleaned for the pond. I ordered some new filter media for what was the sand filter. Boy did i hate cleaning that out. Now its a breeze to clean once I change material for it. I wish you the best of luck on quilt show 2, I know you will get all the bugs worked out on it. Hugz Lynn |

I've got filters in both pattern categories. Patterns (66) – Effects that produce patterns based on the original image. Patterns (206) – Textures with regularly repeated shapes, colors, motifs, etc. These are the two descriptions found on the patterns category information screen. http://www.filterforge.com/filters/ If you use the image (life preserver) as a distortion map ect., they'll put your filter in the effects when you load as a pattern. Also I've noticed that if you use the 'Maximum' or 'Minimum' Level (it's an external component) that they tend to put the filter here. It's up to them when you load as a pattern. You might as well come and join me over here or they'll have to rename the Patterns/Effects to 'Jean Patterns', LOL. ![]() But I do have patterns in the other category too. Patterns rock!~ Besides you and I are the types that can stay up all night making backgrounds, we've done it in the past anyway. LOL
Those quilts are tricky little buggers. No doubt. You sound very busy over on your end. Have to admit I'm wiped out over here. Quilt Show 2 is done. Squashed all the bugs. Well actually squashed them in the first filter but they didn't reappear so that's good~ I had been trying to hunt down an old graphics friend of mine------> she emailed me today and gave me her new links and info. I have to drop everything I'm doing and get caught up with her so I'll be taking a short break and doing quick check in's here over the next day. Be back in a little, ![]() Jean |

I will be taken a couple days off from playing around in FF. Hubby is sick and step son sprained his ankle and I am still waiting on the filter media. When it rains it pours lol.
I hope that best for you Lynn |
