Steve's Cup

just submitted this one. every once in a while i like to take an image that i like and build a filter around that one image. that's what i've done here using steve's white cup image. this filter is a study in black and white...somewhat, though it includes a lot of high pass and a bit of refraction as well.

generally, i dont submit these filters because the scope is really quite limited to just that one image. but, in this case, it appears to have more of a range of use than some of the others. so, there ya go.

you can find steve's cup in another thread if you wish to see the original. i'm just posting one from the filter here. feel free to make your own and post them when the filter gets out of the submission process. and i'd be really interested in seeing this used on other images and what that might produce.

it's a bit of a cheat, ya know. the profile gradients, when set just right, give it that glow look. still, i kind of like it too

great work Kraellin, I love the effects on the secone one and I agree with Steve reminds me of almost translucent glass. Happy to see and black and white filter. Keep up the great work
