I think pic #1, #3, #4, and #5 are the best for SouthWestern flair patterns....

got a suggestion for a filter for you, since you're on the southwestern theme here. how bout a turquoise and silver filter?

That is a great idea for an turquoise and silver filter. Will start to work on it as soon as I start to feel better.
I did finish up the filter this morning and made some major changes, here is the sample of 2 of them.

ya know....instead of just doing this as tiles, if you were to put those patterns atop a fabric like texture, they might make interesting quilt-like textures

The embossing may be a little high and shiney for fabric, but I do really like where its going.
