Really??? I didn't think you liked effects like this all that much....but glad to find out that you do This one is part of a series of Distortion Painters that I've created using different patterns and colorization....
You may forget about these once I start submitting my plethora of 3D glass filters.....many of which would work beautifully spliced into alot of your pattern filters Steve

i'm sorry if i ever gave you the impression i didnt like this type of filter, or for that matter, any of your filters. i actually tried to make this filter at one point, or something very close to it. some of my favorite filters are northern shadow's stuff and she does this sort of filter very well. i class this as a 'photo art' filter and i love photo art. this filter is very pop-art and shld be very popular with the photo art crowd. it's clean, colorful and does what it's supposed to do (based on your pictures posted here); how could you not like it?
as for 3d glass, that shld be interesting. not sure i'm ready to foray back into combining filters, though; the monster and his spawn are a bit disappointing to me at this point. but, the potential in combining is certainly still there... with a LOT of things. it might be fun to just start combining some filters and posting them here in the forums to see the response. and, speaking of the monster, that actually started out as a project to combine filters. i do recall that one of sheri's is in there, gobbled up and digested into the mix If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Not to me....I have been using them with excellent results I think I know where you are coming from though....which may be solved with some new components in future releases....

WOW! I think this is my favorite one of your filters to date, and that is saying a lot because I really like your filters. I would name this something like, Scooby Doo, 70's, ... or Flower Power... sorry that was lame...

I have been focusing on a paper effect as of late, submitted it today. Also have a sweet sweet sweet sweet metal effect in the queue; and have just been updating some old filters with my new knowledge of filter forge.
I actually revamped my angel effect so it is 10 times quicker and looks 20 times better. Check them out later today or early tommorrow, or whenever they update submitted filters. Also I have my foliage filter worked so it looks like real grass, I was blown away by it because I didn't think my idea to make it better would work, but it did. I lucked out Still haven't submitted that one though. Maybe later this week.
As far as new filters, I only have one on my to do list, but I don't want to spoil the surprise... |
