i basically just took volde at this word and slapped all of this textured building filters together into one filter. this is a simple combo filter, done mostly as an experiment. i'm not even submitting it, except for here. the joining is done primarily with a multiblend component. i simplified a few of the controls down, like where there would have been multiple 'metallic' controls and so on.

and by the way, that's not a typo in the name of the filter. these web pages change apostrophes in filter names to something else. the real name of the filter is 'Lord Voltemort's Revenge 1b'.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

basically, the experiment was a success in that it told me one thing... be careful what you blend together
 all of those filters are decent filters, but in combo, the mixing just doesnt really work that well. there's a couple semi-interesting effects in there, but mostly it comes out as a sort of hodge-podge. so, this is no reflection on volde's filters at all, but rather a testament on multi-effects dont always work If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

actually, i may be being a bit unfair to the mixing process. if you use the 4 opacity filters and tone down certain filters you can get some good effects. blending just two of them, for example, instead of all four at once, can give some good results.
