Hi Filter Forge users,
I would like to introduce my orb series of filters.
The first is the basic orb texture
The second is its counterpart
The third is the orb as a frame filter
The fourth is its counterpart

The frame versions should post on Monday.

Using the frame filter - The image can be reduced in size and centered to match the orb. The image can be warped around the orb. The warp distortion can then be tapered to reduce the distortion at the center. The amount of color mixed with the image can be controlled from none to lots.

Hi ya Ron~

Luvs it!!!

Now on the sample I posted yeseterday... I didn't adjust fitler forge settings to put the image in the center... Just did that with the paint program.

It's a great idea for your fitler though and very very happy to see you've worked this option in.

I can't wait to use the cliff dwellers image with the updated version.

I've got to tell you that this orb filter is one of the best fitlers I've even seen. ((((You should be proud... you have made some amazing filters)))).

They don't give comp copies of FF do they? We should get a comp copy, LOL. ((thinking out loud))

I have to ask, mostly because some of you guys have been bringing it up so much... but, don't you have any HU filters up that would give you a nice discount on purchasing your own copy of FF? You do get a hard-copy through snail-mail too you know, as well as the one you downloaded on your machine.

The reason why I'm really curious is because when I was able to come back here to the FF Community from a long hiatus and discovered my very first filter I made with my demo version became a HU filter I immediately applied the discount towards purchasing my own FF program. Of course, at the time they were also offering a discount for anyone that bought within a period of time, so I couldn't pass up the double bonus smile:D

Well, just call me curious smile:-p

I'm poor ... can't afford it... now two HU's gives me half off and I have a nine year old that needs braces and a new pair of glasses (with a new perscription) before school starts... plus it's tough making ends meet. (((poor))) LOL. I can't even afford half off... that's bad I know...

Now I'm not the only poor one in here... I've heard others complain they can't afford it either. So comp's for forum posters and contributors would be a great idea. (((praying)))

I think why you've heard us talk about it so much lately is that at least three of us that I know of will not have copies when July is over... myself, Ron and Lynn... and if you ask me we are all GREAT for this forum and the filter... but that's just my opinion. LOL

(((Hoping Bella reads the threads... please Bella please.. we luvs you... please...)))

Oh.. ummm... smile:blush: smile:blush: smile:blush:
Sorry, I should have been more thoughtful. I'm not exactly rich, but when it comes to something for my artwork I save every single stray penny I find and hide them from myself so I can pay for it. That or just not get involved too much with something I know I can't have after the demo. That's why I never tried a lot of demos, couldn't afford the full programs once they ran out smile:(

Well, I hope something will come up for you guys. Don't you all go leaving me behind when your demos run out now or I'll cry smile:cry:

Oh don't be sorry... I'm glad you asked. I'm going to brave up the nerve to email a request for the three of us to get comps... quite honestly I'm scared... LOL... seriously I'm very nervous about it... Last I heard from Ron he planned on emailing and asking (((I luvs Ron)))... and (((Lynn too)))...

Eventually all three of us are going to have 3 HU's... I'm close and also Ron and Lynn are amazing filter artists... and they will have three HU's and alot more with time (((absolutely positive of this)))... so that would justify the comps... plus all three of us are good for the forums. We're good for FF. ((( smile:D )))

An update for 'Birth of The Orb' has been submitted and should post Monday. It adds the option of removing the base and allows the user to change the background color.
I will submit the same modifications to the frame version after the current one clears the queue. It should be available on Tuesday.

Here is an example of the new one without the base - when the base option is selected it is exactly like the before. smile:)
