I have 91 filters fast approaching 100. And although I have new filters I am working on I've made a decesion to stop... go back and pay attention to filters that aren't as perfect as they could be because they were my first or early filters. I've learned alot about making filters since then. So I'm going back and applying what I either didn't know then, or didn't think of then. Some of my filters were a 'hit' and some were a 'miss'... it's the latter I'm looking at this week mostly.
5 Older and Updated filters of mine hit the Library this morning. Metallic Emboss 2 ... Updated and renamed 'Emboss Light' The new name comes from the testing on photos. Gives a soft metallic emboss on most presets howeover please read the filter description page. http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2653.html Gold Frame... is still Gold Frame, however this filter had an athestic problem... bevel was too deep,, just too heavy... now it has an option to remove the bevel that gives the frame a modern curved look. http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2861.html Emergency... (one of my first filters) http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2454.html Gold N Silver Frame... name changed to Gold Rumple Frame. This one was 'too' slow... bad slow... and one of my first filters. Now it is 'lightening fast'. Which was the reason for the update... while I was in there I took the filter out of it's granny dress and put some sporty and fun features on it. Now this filter is more fun to play with then my Acid Wash Photo Edge Filter. A seriously fun filter now~ ![]() http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2458.html Gold Weave... My third HU. You know what they say.. 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'. Well Gold Weave was too slow for my liking. YES it's a fun filter to play with... no doubt an addictive little filter... it was just too slow. So... the filter is 'exactly the same'... just faster (and with more presets). For anyone who wonders why this one went HU... then maybe you havn't used it yet. Once you use it... the filter has an odd quality that keeps you there... LOL. Just a delightful filter to use. For obvious reasons I did not want to change the current application, but I did want to speed it up for those that luv this one. It's faster now. I have been updating a few here and there over the last few weeks. This week... I most likely will be submitting 'all' updates. (Maybe a new one here or there.)You may see a filter of mine in the recent filter list.. it's propably an update. |

And also something you taught me to do... ![]() remember all those times you hammered me about going back and updating... I do... LOL. So I'm doing it~ ![]()
I was too... Here's the deal with this filter... I've been working with this update for a week... hemming and hawing over it... didn't want to change it too much... it was the photo testing last night that made me take it in this direction. I'm emotionally attached to this filter and I don't know why, LOL. Not even sure it's good to be emotionally attached to a filter. The good news is that I'm not done working with the orignal look of Metallic Emboss 2. Don't give up on it just yet. Speaking of Metallic Emboss... on the original.. that was updated last week... did you like? So what do you have working for updates? ![]() |
