Nice!!! Humble plebian suggestion.....add various finishes to metal like rusty, black wrought iron, brass, etc......and enlarge the patterns so you can really see the metel finish. I think it would be more useful single, tiled, and otherwise.....plus you will still have the ability to shrink the size of it with the "size, pixels" control....
Very useful!!! Steve

thank you Steve, this filter does have sliders, to make it tiled or as an single tile and size, pixels" control. I choose to show them tiled so you can get an general idea what it will look like tiled. As far as colors it has 3 sliders for that so far.

What I mean is start the whole filter at only one kaliedoscope pattern set at 600.....then let the user turn it down to the desired size.....it will allow you to show off the texture better in some of the presets.....and give the user a single "grate" to put things behind Steve

Hi Lynn,
I like that you don't have the frame on there. I luv the chainmalle!! Brilliant Lynn!
Celti Art gives a chain curtain/chainmalle effect when resized smaller,, mostly I've noticed with these types of filters is that it has to stay in pattern theme. Your pattern them is perfect~ Now normally I agree with Steve but I think to experience the chainmalle theme, the pattern or at least a few of them need to be small. Have to be careful on this though because the effects cannot be so small they do not show in the library.
This might be one of my favorite filters you've ever done.. Chainmalle for a filter!!! That's hot!

Thank you very much Jean, I also adore chainmalle, and will be making my own chainmalle jewelry pieces in real life. I found some really cool patterns I would love to make.

Steve all pattern are set at 600 and I used kaleidoscope repeat v and h to repeat the pattern. All they need to do to make it an single tile is mover the kaleidoscope repeat sliders to 1 to have and single tile.

I wanted to post right after you put the last sample up but waited just in case you were loading more images. When it comes to beads and textures I always know your filters are 'top notch'. Have no doubt your chainmalle will be perfect~ Now.. question??? I recently received 'user feedback' that a transparent background was prefered to a background the filter artist puts in (for my Celtic series and jewelry chains). Now I thought a background set the Celtic and Chains off... made for a nice backdrop to showcase the gold and metals. User feedback was that a transparent background was preferred. So... have you thought about a transparency?

Jean just to let you know that the chainmalle has an transparent background, this way they can use then over another teture or make tubes out them for psp, or make psd for photoshop. I gues I should have posted the first 4 sample with the life preserver

Oh thanks Lynn for clearing that up. I saw the grunge and thought maybe no transparency. Went back to the post and see that it was overlayed on a filter. Gotcha~
Excited it will be transparent with no frame border~ I like the frame okay on your grids,,, prefer when you don't have the frame (speaking as a user).
Very nice filter! Can't wait to put it favorites~

Your welcome Jean I should have been more clear about the filter. Having a hard time thinking with this dang migraine. I am going to finish updating the grids sometime today, I added an switch to the so you have the option to have the grids with or with the frame.

Well the grids fall into the category of my 'fav filters ever made on filter forge'... frame or no frame. I like the new direction you are taking without the frame... doesn't mean I don't like the 'griddy's... Luv the Grids~
Crazy about this new Chainmalle!!!

I am happy to heard that you like my grids

No sleep does not get rid of a mirgrain. When I fight one I fight it for days... usually not a week for me, just a few days.

I can't imagine having them last longer. After the migraine is gone I feel like I have been hit my a mac truck~
I don't have much computer time left before we go meet my daughters new teacher, then get shcool clothers.
Going to post some previews I did not have time to post earlier for the Celtic series. Worked out well because they ended up having the black background removed, and also the alpha's updated... all the updates are in and now I'm glad I didn't have the time to do previews with the black background. I may have less then an hour so will hurry to get the previews up a.s.a.p.
So sorry to hear about your migraines Lynn... those are no fun

I am feeling much better today, it not as bad as it was yesterday. I got the chainmalle done and submitted. I also will be submitting the updates to the grids today also.
My stepson is not longer in school, so that is one least thing to worry about, but he is now engaged to some girl he went to high scholl with. So he is rarely home. He goes to work in the morning and goes to his girlfriends after work, he home long enough to get some sleep and off he goes
