That's a true artist for you though... we don't know when to stop, hehe. An art teacher told me that the best time to stop working on a painting is when you really like it. Then STOP! Don't go back and think 'hey, it's really good, maybe I should..." and then you start to loose what you had when you really did like it

Exactly.....I've been working on that problem for years.....and still find myself "over-doing" things. It doesn't help to be too detail-oriented sometimes

Oh dear, that's me alright... did you see my painting of my Bald Eagle in Carl's thread for his Abstraction Painting? That is very detailed, if you could see it in person I have ever pinfeather in the wing feathers highlighted... or near to it as I could get. Didn't know when to stop and just kept on going till my hands went numb

Well, I'm still working on parts of it. I submitted the undistorted version, "ReliefPainter-Oils", but still needs some work. It's a "slow" filter.....so time consuming to troubleshoot..... Steve

Seriously, slow because of five noise components other than Perlin, noise details, distort details, and high Sharpen.....makes for a slow one..... Steve

5 brothers here too! I loved it when we would all play hide-n-seek in the house on stormy days... the thunder added to the excitement of being scared when they suddenly snuck up and found me hiding in a cupboard or behind the cloths in a closet
