Sinnce I've been talking about stuff I do a little bit, in case anyone is interested to see any of it, I'll post a few pics from various projects as I make them in here smile:)

This first one is a piece I'm making by request. It's a fantasy art type wizard robe, made so it will function in Poser.
For those of you that aren't familiar with Poser, it's a 3D application of an affordable level that lets you dress up pose and animate human figures and related 3D objects.

Leather texture is a heavy modification of one of the leather filters I found here, and chainmail is constantin's chainmail, with couple of tiny tweaks to the filter. so I'd get a look I'm after. This 3D model will have another half a dozen textures in addition to this one, but this leather chainmail look is the only one I did so far with help of FF filters.

Thank You Kraelin smile:)

Another snapshot, so you guys get an idea how theese poser model work.
Same 3D model, different, non FF texture, but the model is sort of in-motion.
Sorry if I'm explaining this in a simplistic way and non 3D terms. The explanations are mostly for non 3D peoples smile:) I'm assuming 3D-ers will know what it is they're seeing without having to explain much smile;) Theese are still in a WIP stages.

Here's a set of textures I made for one of my freebie 3D modesl. The textures are made mostly with various images rendered out in FF. Leathers and laces.

Thank You guys smile:)

How long have I been at this... you mean 3D in general? Probably since Autocad started doing 3D in late 80's (use it at work)
Doing 3D engineering and architectural visualizations for the good part of last 10 years.
In last couple of years I got more active in Character and hobby 3D, Poser related. I sort of got sucked into it, lot of nice friendly people aoround Poser communities.
(And I don't think I cut it for CG society LOL) Maybe in my next life.

Ahimsa, Take your time smile:) Robe is in beta testing. It'll be fre more weeks before it's out!

Here's some more eye candy - various textures that will come with the wizard robe from the first post.
About third of the textures are made with heklp of FF. You can see chainmail, there's a modification of Dream Warror's lace (for green Lace), and Green Magik has a mod of Ahimsa's embroidery filter, and Constantin's knit.
I managed to make my own little leather filter from scratch.
Others are from scans of fabrics. Luckily, I sew, so I have a pile of fabrics at home, for all theese things I was going to make LOL...

Gawd, I feel so obnoxious showing my own stuff, Like wee, look how cool I am. I'm not, all I see in my work are mistakes and things I wanna improve :-\. Just pushing myself to try and get over the self promotion apprehensions.
Thanks for bearing with me smile:) Love ya people *mwah*

You sound like me. I have textures that I made for an A3 dress last year that I still haven't packaged up because I see things I don't quite like on them and then wonder if anyone will even want them. They are way better than the dress textures I gave away and they had more than 1,000 downloads each.

One of the projects I'm participating in is a recreation of a Late Victorian Era Dutch Village. It's a little online collaboration a group of us are doing. We'll be using a lot of Filter Forge and Genetica created textures on this project.
If anyone is curious, please visit: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forump...32&page=37

Guys have made some nice massing model renders on last couple of pages!

Me too! Not for work though, just personal interest in messing with 3D. As it been that long? smile:D

The Victorian Dutch village seems like a great idea. Will it be available freely or in any stores?

Thanks Genie smile:)

I'm not sure what will happen with the victorian village, the group of us that are making it are still undecided about that. We started it because we had the urge to make it for our own use, but the question about possibly selling it or making it available for others has come up before.
Considering how much work the guys are putting into it, I'll probably suggest they make it a market item, perhaps for Poser, or Vue.

yeah, that long... I remember graduating in '87, and my first job I had a computer with Autocad 2.6 on my desk, to use for our survey and engineering plans. Version 9 came out shortly after that, and version 10 had true 3D, rather then having to fake isometric views.
I remember making chritmas trees and bulbs and gears out of revolving and tabbed surfaces LOL

Here's a little preview of a texture I'm working on right now. Partially using modified filters from here, and some hand painting. Still ways to go to finish it.

soo... my first poser product is finally out. It can be seen here: WindyWizardRobe
You may recognize couple of filters I used in their modified form... Crapadilla's parchment on the background of the promo pages, and couple others on some of the textures.

Working on my next 3D project. Thought I'd share a snapshot with you guys.
Outfit modelled by me, and textures using a mod of one of the filters here.
Model is one pof poser Characters - V4+GND4. I'm making the outfit it to work with this character in Poser, Cararra, Vue and couple other 3D apps.

LOL... I wish!
Well, maybe when I was in my 20's I could have pulled something like that off.
Now my 20 yr old stepdaughter can take over the fashion modeling job. I'll do the designing and sewing... and the digital stuff.

Thanks Beliria. Yeah, poser and related applications can be addictive, much like SL. I signed up for SL last year, and my account login has never worked right. I never bothered to fix it - I think it not working was a blessing in disguise!
I'm a big Sim City fan, which makes SL very appealing!!!

smile:D I think of SL as more of an advanced The Sims, but yep loved Sim City too, although my playstation hasn't been plugged in for sometime, makes me wonder if it's still working.
