Hope everyone has had and is having a great new year so far 
Been digging through the vault again and came up with this filter to finish...Still in the process of creating some more brush variations..Heres some picts of what there is so far..Using Carls bus pict.....  Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

that's kind of intertesting. i like that first one the best. and FF could easily have some more brushstroke filters. artists love those. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I like them reminds of back in the dark age when we used screens on bromides - which leads me to, that for me they're not brush strokes but screen effects - yes I'm so last century and it doesn't really matter what you call it it looks good |

They are looking more like screen effects rather than a brush effect..Still working on that also...

i like the first. the second reminds me of old newsprint photos and the third reminds me slightly of raster tube images... like viewing a television screen through a video camera. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Maybe you could make a couple of filters for different screen effect - such as radiating circle, zigzag etc - ah it be just like the good old days |

That looks really good with animals. It does look like old newspaper pics. Once it's uploaded I will make a newspaper page with it for you. Might take a few days for me to do since we have the baby here everyday now for 9 - 24 hours at a time.

There are so far several different types of zig-zag etc screenies in it already...Still in the process of creating more types... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times!

Since craig mentioned Lithograph this had me doing a sort of an experiment,,,Just to see how this would look...I have assimilated my "Old News" filter with this filter and
have the results of this...Any thoughts on this approach?
There will be a switch for b/w and color tint..Along with two extra sliders for the color control.....  Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Man, I've been trying to do a decent engraving filter FOREVER, and you've beaten me to it! Well, yours are mostly screen effects, but the wavy line variant reminds me of steel engraving. Would you mind if I plundered that subroutine for my own nefarious purposes?
