Simple yet kind of interesting. I finally digested all the chicken and noodles I had for dinner but was in no mood to drink by then, and will be going out tomorrow night, so I did this tonight instead.

these remind me of something, but havent quite put my finger on it yet. i had some interlocking blocks as a kid and this sort of reminds me of those, at least the larger tiles do, but that's not it. it's something else.
anyways, yes, kind of interesting. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

----Hmm, yeah, I can see the wooden block toys look, I'm not sure specifically which toy/brand you mean. But it's all good, I just though 'tiles' since it was a bunch of squares ya know. ![]()
----That was about where I was at last night after working on it til 1am or so ha-ha. ![]() jffe Filter Forger |

Actually, 'nu tiles' were kind of an accident (as usual, and go ahead, roll yer eyes ha-ha), the originals looked too random and just lame (see below). But then the 'nu tiles' lost the fake metal shine somehow, and then I posted them and went to bed ha-ha.

Ah, those last two examples are interesting!
Now, if several of these were layered on top of each other and used as a height map... ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

well, on the first set, the larger tiles, it wasnt the blocks so much; it was a ceramic tile of some sort and they had no glaze. i think they were used in electrical work somehow; like back in the knob and tube days or just after. it's a dim memory.
anyways, i like the new variation of cut metal plate. reminds me of some post-modern metal art. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

----I went ahead and tried that, even tried different *blend* modes, and it wasn't really looking much better than the flat versions above. Someday when I learn how to blend stuff properly, then I might slowly become dangerous like you guys ha-ha. ![]()
----Huh, now that you mention it, they do have that 'vaguely reminds me of' kinda vibe. I wanna say like military bathrooms/hospitals, since my father worked at one, and I might've seen them there ? I dunno really.
----Thanks, although I hate the look myself ha-ha. Those are what I did before the tiles (examples at the top), I just took the Blocks components out and switched a couple things and went from the random metal shiny bits, to the ceramic/wooden tiles. I like the tiles better, although they lack that uber cool shine, and they are more a fixed pattern, at least they are sort of simple/attractive in that way. Thanks for the multiple comments though, anything but 'that sucks' with no explanation as to why it sucks, is always welcome ha-ha. ![]() jffe Filter Forger |

careful, with a little work i'm sure i could come up with some sort of phrasing that you'd not care for ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
