Thanks Craig!
Sorry I have not so much time I want to test all exiting filters. I work very much with a painting program I have been a beta tester in for more than two years: GMX photopainter. it is great for my pet paintings mostly.
But I have FF as a feed and look every day.

That looks excellent gunsan! smile:D Thanks for posting it. I love the grunge look. You might check out my grungefilter if you have time. Carl also has several nice grunge filters.
Did you composite the image in yourself or did you use the frame version?
If you want any changes made to the filter let me know and I will see what I can do.

I am late to reply to this post because it was only just mentioned to me. I do not monitor the forums as much as I should.

We have been playing around with this filter in the Carl's Corner thread. Maybe it is something you will like.

Thanks, glad you like it, I work in layers The orb I did a vignette of, layered wih grunge textures. The fetus is a clip art illustration. Then I tweaked colors. A lot sepia. I work quite on impulse and have difficult to exactly say how I did.

Thanks for the filter, it looks exiting.

I have updated your personal version so it now supports all 7 noises. Use the 'Style' slider to select the new modes. For the original (Perlin) select style 4 – it is the fastest. I did not update the presets so many of them will look like crap.
It may help to set the 'Opening Roughness' slider down low then make the other adjustments then set it back to where you want it.
smile:)

It may help when you are doing your compositing to render the individual surface maps. These can be used with adjustments layers or Calculations to generate layer masks to aid in placing grunge or otherwise. smile:)

At first I though I had only left a couple of profile curves unplugged but as I got to looking around I realized I had so many mistakes that I can't even list them. I apologize. I think I have corrected all of them. It now works as I intended plus I have added a 'Scale' slider that will allow you to change the size of the distorting noise. I apologize for the other one.

No. smile:( I have found a problem. Do not use this one. It may be related to the scale slider. I will work it out and get back to you.

Thanks all of you, but I feel it is I who shall say thanks. I love these springboards for my creativity!

Oh, you have looked at my pet portraits, glad you like them. They are so wonderful to work with too (and give me a little extra to my not so big pension) Most of them are training, but many done on comission too.

i love that 'Fossil' one, gun smile:)

do you send any of your photo/photoshop work out for canvas, like a giclee or anything and if so, i'd be interested in how you find it for quality and such.

Craig, I have a Minolta Color Laser printer I am very happy with. I deliver prints in A4 ( 21 x 29 cm) Some customers want canvas prints though. Then I send the printready file to them, and give them an address to a place in Stockholm delivering different prints,.for example poster prints, prints on canvas and so on.
'I just send my prints inside Sweden. My friends in US get the printready file and take it to a print shop. That I use to do for free, for the fun of it.
If someone insists to pay I have a PayPal account.

I myself have never had anything printed on canvas, so I don't know how it looks.

ah, ok. hehe, not going to help me much for shops in europe, i'm afraid. i've seen ads on the web for doing canvas. i even have a couple bookmarked, but i've never sent anything away for that either. but i am tempted.

hehe, i'm afraid i still think not in metric. so, A4 (21 x 29 cm) is pretty much a mystery to me. the largest common printers here in the u.s. print 13 inches by 19 inches. but, i want larger. i'm very tempted to get a large printer that can do poster size (24" x 36") but those cost a couple thousand dollars and i'd need to be able to justify it by doing more printing commercially. not sure i want to do that yet.

what i REALLY want is a true 'flatbed' printer, one that can print on glass, plastic, wood, leather and so on. but, the only ones that do that are the truly large and EXTREMELY expensive ones costings around $350,000. but, they can also print whole billboards and doors and very large items. i want a desktop version of that, one that could print poster size or smaller. i could do some very cool things with something like that. so, if someone made one like that and priced it around $2000 or less, i'd be out the door right now to go pick it up smile:)

Well well, you have big dreams!!! smile:)

A4 is a little bigger that letter size, guess that is a standard in US.
I can send you the fossil one, but not bigger than 3300x3011 in 300 dpi.
If you want it you have to give me your mail address

I don't work with very big files, I rather have it fast than big, I am the impatient type smile;)
