So I need you help in updating my LU filters, I am going to just systematically work my way up my filter list and re-work any crappy filters and throw away any hopeless filters and just need some feedback to my updates.
Here are some recent pictures of my attempt at redoing gelatin: Here is the original- ![]() |

Personally I like the 2nd preset the best and might want to tighten controls to get more of the same, but what do you all think? How can I improve this to your liking?
Also here is the current build if you want to look at the guts or try it out on some other images. Jello.ffxml |

1 & 3 look more like fruity gelatine and 2 like clear, all three look way better than the original.. as in they appear a lot more gelatine like.
okay the original is nice but too metallic looking, really for gelatine. Don't know if that helps much though. Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

heh they kinda remind me of a desert my Mum used to make which was jelly mixed with condensed milk I think, but it ended up looking like milky coloured jelly/gelatin.
Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

The last one looks most realistic to me. I don't mean the blur, rather the coloring. I would think that gelatin would color the entire image behind it, not just tint it. Meaning, instead of just changing the hue, it would actually color (as in Blend with Multiply) the image in the back. The only white would be in the surface reflections.
This is just my logic-based impression without looking at any actual gelatin. Other than that it is very close. |
