Oh! I agree with Ron, it does look like a some sort of fly and yeah it's cool!
There is nothing so simple that I cannot complicate it. I try to think of it as a gift.

Ehhhh Ehhrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm.....CF, let's keep this on the down-low just between you and I.... smile:D .....but those 3D patterns would look extrememly nice embedded in 3D glass.....with air bubbles and everything.....like the art in glass paperweights/eggs ect.....something that I've been working on with scripts..... smile:devil:

Okay, guess I'll have to be more direct.... smile;) smile:D

Suggest collaborative effort to achieve photo-realistic 3D glass images like these....in different forms/shapes....or the whole image looking into the depths of glass....3D bubbles, art, and all..... smile:devil:

I would totally do that in programs like Houdini but it doesn't sound impossible with FilterForge 2 anymore. Especially when we have lua.

Man, that was like throwing a porkchop to a pack of hungry wolves.... smile;) smile:D LOL...

I was thinking the 3D refinement of the "Glass Feather Abstract" art inside of glass ball with bubbles....and doesn't have to be looking at a 3D ball or shape....but looking at the 3D artwork embedded in a chunk of slab glass along with bubbles.... smile:devil:

This will definitely entail some scriptwork....so, how are all you guys doing learning Lua??? I know ThreeDee and Sphynx are on the creative forefront with it.....and I'm a ways behind them.....but gaining on it in my spare time....

If you guys remember Sphynx's last posted 3D fractal script work.....this is what really got me going on learning it.....

But looks like I will have a whole lot to catch up on when I get the chance... smile:)

Well, if I can do that, how can I inspire you to learn Lua??? smile;) smile:D I do understand that you are busy....but I will look forward to pestering you on your next vacation.... smile;) smile:D

BTW, if I may ask, what do you do for work??? ....and yes, taking showers every once in a while is a good thing.... smile;) smile:D

Craig, like the button.....even better if you can put metallic trim on it. Does it create oblong buttons??? Like the surface of yours better than what I created for a website..... smile:devil:

Okay....continuing wh ere I am at with all this here.....in my Lab.... smile:D

Here's my version, which I think is similar to CF's. Looks like there's a glass ball with another colored ball inside it.
My rule here is:
- Outside= plug into height
- Inside= refract w/outside and plug into surface color

Stevie: Those pics you have on the other page are looking pretty neat. smile:)

steve, no on the oblong and no on the metallic, though that one would be easy by simply adding a frames component.

nice balls, steve and indigo smile:)
