Weird and surprising filter that gives so great artistic psychedelic style when in color, and also great textures can be done in black and white.

well done the examples above !! like much

How can you have so many great, unusual, innovative, original, awesome and amazing ideas ? smile:)

And better that you have the ideas AND can make them real and have the experience and skills to build the filter according to this.

Thanks really very much for uploading the pre-release version to be able to try it ourselves.

And reducing the size pixels from the 2750 to 600 yo get that the great and weird sketch effect follows the original edges of the source as you can see here

And what would happen if the tiger is rusterized with the great Rusterizer filter by Corvus Croax?

Well, see it below. I have added some postwork in Photoshop

Great filter uberzev!
Really gives a cool and unexpected effect.

Say, aren't you getting bored of blowing our minds with all these unique filters, that for the life of me, I can't imagine how you come up with smile:D

SpaceRay, I like your examples. The demonic-rusterized tiger looks like an old leather book cover.

And the pansy flower examples look like crazy skull masks, I love it smile:)

Thanks for your comment, glad you like them.

I agree that the pansies flowers looks like crazy skull masks as this is the FIRST thing I though after seeing the result smile:D

Is true that it may look like carved old leather after the rusterizer filter, good point.

I hope and wish that he is NOT getting bored of making mind blowing and jaw droppings filters.

And if you can´t imagine HOW he has made this, imagine how I feel trying to understand HOW with a very few components and simple looking you can get such a complex and excellent results.

If in the above example I applied the Rusterizer filter, in this one here below I have the BuzzSim effect from Topaz Labs Simplify 3.

Here is the original result from this filter

Very cool spaceray. smile8)

Only thing I wish I could improve about my filter is the graininess.

PS
"Uniform Detail Mode" allows the same functionality as version 1 of the filter.

Good to know that if you activate the "Uniform Detail Mode" it wil be like the first version.

Will have to test this second version

why do not release this great filter to the library ?

What else is missing or need to be added ?

or do you want to optimize it more or make it better in some way ?

I do not want this amazing filter gets lost in the forum as it happens with many others interesting and useful filters.

Love much this filter and how from a nearly plain color of the background you can get SO MUCH details and great and lovely textures and the result is really amazing and awesome.

Now searching for another thing in the forum I found a link to this awesome and great filter and wanted to upload a new upgrade allowing you to use external images as overlay to mix them with this beautiful and wonderful effect

IMPORTANT To be able to use this you MUST change the Opacity or change the Blend Mode from 1 to another one you may choose, or both.

Kinda looks like you just slapped on some image blend at the end of the process. smile:p My hard words sir.

I think you should create a nice blend of two images before the image is processed by the demonic filter, then route the colors out from the blended images and apply it to the end of the chain lighten / multiply (or threshold) to apply the color scheme. That I think respects the overall appearance of the filter rather than a simple blend at the end. smile;)

I think you made this to serve your purpose, but it can be so much cooler.

YES! smile:blush: Sorry if this has been a very simple way to add a image blending to the result, but this is as much I can know on how to do it as far until now

It sounds interesting and could be good, but regretably do not have as much experience as you and can´t do it as you suggest, it would be good that if you know it and if you want, you could do it yourself and show it.

My idea was that the great black and white effect from the filter could be used as background to be overlaid with the colors of another different image, or even the same image overlaid over the woodcut effect

I do not want mixing to images so that both of them are with the woodcut effect.

If it can be so much cooler as you suggest, I would like to see how cooler can it be, if you want of course to make it and show it
