In the rising filter trend of Spirograph, Spirograms, Spirostars, Spiro Wire, Spirography,Sine-o-graphs, and Wireframes, and similar styles (thanks to Ghislaine, uberzev, and Morgantao) I have seen that all this are based on LINES, different kind of them and different styles, BUT always the result comes from modifying and multiplying LINES (curves, circles, stars, or whatever shapes made with lines)
And WHY not use specially prepared and made images or photos for MAKING those Spirographs ? Instead of using lines you would use simple objects that would be rotated a number of times around the same point and then create circular shapes based on this object ![]() |

The above example is NOT really very good and does NOT show well my idea, but this is because I am just preparing it and seeing how this can be done.
This will be possible MAINLY thanks to the great work done by uberzev when he made the snippet or test filter for making spirography based on "bomber on the same spot" And this was the source for my Spirography Break Out filter based on the unreleased filter of uberzev I will make and put more examples that will show better what my idea is about when I prepare the special images and photos needed to be feed into my new filter that I am doing. BE AWARE that when I am telling about PHOTOS, is NOT obviously NORMAL photos. |

Thanks Morgantao, glad you like it.
I have tried many ways to do it mixing the blend modes or moving the textures and finally got it right. All the examples shown in this thread are ONLY done with this filter I am making in Filter Forge without any postwork in Photoshop The only thing from photoshop was making the text selection in the Filter Forge text example above |

Also with just a number 6 or a simple little spiral !!! The image is a variation of the version 6 of my spirograms serie. The filter must be in the galery tomorrow.

I wanted to upload this filter to the library but is not possible as it is because it uses external images to work and without loading them, the presets with FF built-in image look very bad.
I will have to see if I can find another way to do it |

I have thought that this could be also used with Graffitti tags to convert images into artistic works made with these graffitti tags, I have already made some tests and it seems that it may work well and nice. I will make some example a to show what I mean
I mean, specially graffitti tags like this ones shown here ![]() Because mixing lots of them together can give beautiful textures, as said will put examples of converting images with these tags |

TWO REASONS TO BUMP THIS
1 - SPIROGRAPH BREAK OUT FILTER - I have now see that I totally forgot to put in the first post that ALL this examples has been done only with ONE filter that was and still is already available in the FF Library Spirograph Break Out by SpaceRay 2 - MARK TOBEY ART - 8 years I decided to continue with this because I have thought to use this to emulate or simulate the works of famous Mark Tobey art Mark Tobey art collection here are some examples and I have taken one that is shown here in this link in high resolution with zoom and here below a smaller version ![]() |
