Finally after so many news and the great controversy generated by the news that Adobe will NOT sell again any of their future softwares, yesterday 17 June 2013 has been released and made available ALL the new and full versions of all the Adobe CC softwares that are more than 27 softwares available for you all inside the new Adobe Creative Cloud.

SOFTWARE IS NOT CLOUD BASED

Although the name CLOUD suggests that the software would be IN the cloud, this is wrong, as the software is a desktop version in exactly the same way as it has been until and you even do not need any serial number anymore.

From the CNET news I have seen this

Survey: Is Adobe Creative Cloud subscription worth the price?

Here is a good article about what is really the Adobe Cloud and to know more about it from a NON adobe related website and with some impartiality

What is the Adobe Creative Cloud? Should You Subscribe?

Although there is MORE than this and is not as simple as this one above as there more things involved, specially after the new release of Adobe CC as now there are more things added as additional services, additional tempting things to make you fall into the cloud, for example like the free fonts now included, and other things more.

The Great and biggest problem with this Adobe Cloud is the great difference between the subscription prices all over the world and that is NOT AT ALL the same price converted to the corresponding currency of that country

For example in USA the Adobe Cloud cost $49.99 BUT in Spain it costs €62 !!! (that is about $82) and this is very bad and you CAN´T subscribe to an Adobe Cloud of another country as far as I know as it depends on your Adobe account and on the country and adress you are living.

I have been very lucky that in CyberMonday 2012 I got a 50% discount subscription offer to the Adobe Cloud for a yearly contract and so now I am paying only €30 each month instead of 62.

Blah blah... the endless story of whether if the stuff's worth it or not. People should assess if their income is suitable for what they buy. smile:p Don't you think?

Of course that all this is subjective and it´s not good to tell about if it is worth or not, as it depends really very much on:

how much you are going to use it?,

what are you going to use from all that is offered?,

if you use it as a hobby or you are going to be paid for the work that you do with the software or as said is just as hobby,

and as you say if your income is suitable for paying each month the subscription to either the full Adobe Cloud or just pay a subscription to a SINGLE application that you use the most.

I think that for me is really worth and very good having ALL that Adobe is offering for me (Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, Cinema4D lite+Cineware, Premiere and more additional things ) for €30 Euros each month, but this is because I have got the 50% discount offer, I would NOT pay probably €62 as the normal price is here in Spain. This would have been impossible for me to have all this software before IF I had to buy it, before I could ONLY have Photoshop and nothing else.

If this year in November does not happen again the 50% discount for Cybermonday offer and so I can renew it, I will consider change my subscription country and pay the $50 as there is the mother of my uncle that is living in USA, and although I do not know here, I can put the adress there and use an online bank.

I mean... it's a great offer. And yes you can brag about your cybermonday discount price over everybody else haha. Do you do work professionally by the way? Cause there's one thing you should know about "how much you're going to use" the product, when you're in the design industry.

I forgot to say a very important thing

YOU CAN KEEP YOUR BOTH PHOTOSHOP CS6 AND ALSO PHOTOSHOP CC SEPARATE

I was happy to know that when subscribing to the new Adobe Cloud, they have not removed CS6 yet, and you do not have to choose having Photoshop CS6 OR Photoshop CC, you can have both installed and use the one that you want, although you can´t have CS5 (the one that still works with Pixel Bender)

I am sorry about brag about my cybermonday offer, and is not at all my intention to tell it to everyone and scrub it and tell that I have it and you don´t, I would never do it this way, is just that you mention if it was worth or not, and for me personally €62 is not worth but for €30 is really worth it.

Well I do not work professionaly in any way as you work yourself, I do not have any clients for whom I make works, I am now only working in an office that do not have any fixed money, I receive money sometimes for making things there, for the website or for optimizing photos.

My main use of artistic use of Photoshop and Filter Forge is unpaid, and I have been working hard to be able to get paid in the last four years and as I am living in a far place in Malaga province (south Spain) I can´t get known and make any artistic exhibitions.

Adobe Cloud has a Download and app manager that keeps and mantains all your apps in one easy to find place and it will do all the work for you in downloading and installing anything from Adobe Cloud and keep it updated if you want.

Adobe Creative Cloud Upgrade

The Obvious Conclusion

So overall I’m very happy I went with the Creative Cloud subscription. At $30 per month it’s definitely worth it to have all the latest and fastest versions of the gold standard design software out there (Photoshop, Illustrator, & Lightroom 4.1 mostly).

It’s really like walking into Adobe’s Candy Store and being able to play with ALL the toys.

Before the Adobe Cloud I could be able to play with OTHER Adobe software other than Photoshop (well have used some of them for 30 days trial) and now you have all the door open to use anyone of them without paying more.
