That's what is so great about ff - I get to have output. Maybe not great output but at least I get to see results. It will be that way with Maya one day. smile:)

I could put a character together fairly quickly if I knew how. Part of it is like chess, I can only see ahead so many moves. So even though I know what I want to do, actually doing it would free up my mind to visualize other things. In other words, I know what I want to do but only so deep. I have a backlog of ideas and a bottleneck at my skill level. I'm not complaining - at least I have ideas. smile:)

Thanks Steve, that's a very nice thing to say. There are others around here that say nice things then take them back when noone's looking.

I usually have some idea about what you're talking about but not this time. smile:?: That is not to say I don't like it, I think it sounds cool, but I do not know what it means.

I was trying to get Capt'n "sweet-cheeks" Carl smile:dgrin: to do lightning because (1) he wants to do it, (2) realistic lightning hasn't been done and can be, (3) it will also create realistic branching patterns, and (4) most importantly, I don't have time to do it myself..... smile;) smile:D LOL.....

I think the lips idea is a winner. I have not checked the user gallery but for it to work they would need to be very realistic.

I think there is a good one in the library but it is very slow. I toyed with it a once but didn't have time to pursue it.

Hey Ron, that's kinda like the direction of my own forgotten attempt at lightning..... smile;) smile:)

I'm surprised that no one realizes that "realistic" branched lightning flipped would give "realistic" branch patterns for trees as well..... smile:devil:

Welcome back Lady Fayre. I was wondering what happened to you. Nice to see you submitting filters. smile:)
I was just looking at 'Broken World'. This is a very cool looking filter but I am a little confused by the description. It does not appear to preserve original colors and seems to modify much more than only the lightness channel.
I notice that you used the maximum level component. I didn't even know there was a maximum level component! smile:eek: I will have to look into that. smile:)

Hello Ronviers,

And thanks for your kind comment

I did not alter the description when I submitted the filter. I am still getting used to finding my way around it all. I really like how Broken World turned out though, I like the silver effect within.

Thanks again smile:D

Hi!

Sorry for the delay, we needed to recover from all the set up and tear down work. We had quite a few people helping, but it still took a long time. The wedding went great.

I will have some pics soon. People are talking about the wedding all over town and people are now coming up to Paul and telling him about the wedding. smile:D They are even talking about the purple and black floor runners. smile:D

The biggest impact was the lights being out and only candlelight as Daniel and I met at the alter and then lit the candles in the candelabras, then we met again in front of the alter, hugged and gave each other a kiss, I blew out my candle and walked away. Instant tears from the audience and bridal party. The music went over great...except with Ronda's grandmother who hated everything including the groom and the groom's family...big deal.

Somehow in the retelling of the wedding the cake went from a 7 tiered to a 9 and 10 tiered. smile:D

The stretch limo got to them too. The limo driver was wanting to give them extra time for free, but the kids said no thanks that they needed to help tear down. We will have him for the anniversary party and when Paul and I renew our vows next year. He was very professional.

I can't get the chip to work on my computer as I think maybe I need the software for the camera used for the wedding pics and film. Yep, some of it was filmed. I will get pics here as soon as the lady burns the image to disk for me. She was a sweetheart.

The minister was so amazed by the wedding that she hugged and kissed Paul and I for a long time. She said it was the coolest wedding ever.

When Daniel came down the aisle there were camera flashes, but when we started our part together the camera flashes were nonstop. It was a very strange feeling knowing so many people were taking so many pics of us. I am very modest and there were only a few pics of me in existance until this wedding. smile:eek:

The bride also got a ton of flashes. When she came out people were in awe of how beautiful she looked. Ronda is normally very homely looking, but that outfit and the glow on her face was amazing. I actually shed a tear then. That's my new daughter!

I can't believe people are talking about the floor runners even. They are talking about all the decorations, the clothes, the ceremony, the music, everything, but it is so weird knowing they are even talking about the floor runners. The center runner was purple and the two outer ones were black. No biggie.

Yes, it was worth it.

Their honeymoon didn't go well...the first day they missed their train so they ended up staying at home. Second day the places they were supposed to go to were closed, the hotel they were supposed to go to turned out to be a dive where there was only room inside their room for the bed and the bathroom was in the hallway and communal. So they went to a motel and didn't notice until the morning that the bathroom walls were covered with blood. There were police in the hallway doing something and a woman crying like crazy in the lobby so the kids never could talk to the manager about all the blood.

Saw V honeymoon smile:D

The kids didn't care, they were too happy. We babysat for all those days and we were so wore out. Yesterday we rested and today we have the baby again. He had his shots yesterday so he isn't feeling well.

Oh, the camera that was used is really nice. The lady's husband showed us how you can shake the camera really fast and the pic turns out clear. Plus it makes films. I like that camera!

Makes you wonder. The kids said there were no lights in the room either and they had to have the manager put bulbs in. They had hiked 25 miles around Seattle that day so they were exhausted and didn't notice the blood until they woke up in the morning. Poor kids. At least their wedding was a success.

We have all been there. Get this. I had been working for two days in two files, one called ikFkArmSwitch and the other called ikFkArmSwitchSetup - each in their own tab. The problem is, that they were both named ikFkArmSwitchSetup. So each time I saved my work I was overwriting half my work. Two days!! Talk about a dog-ate-my-homework excuse. smile:evil: smile:evil:

You have to check out this description ahimsa. It's classic. The thing is, I believed that she believed it was really doing those things. I was especially stuck on where it says it will be useful for photographers. All I could think was that I could hardly wait to see some of her photography.

Lady Fayre, I'm not making fun of you in any way, I understand it was a simple oversight. If you want to correct it you can resubmit it using the same name. smile:)
