Carl, yes, the linoleum.

Steve, you know I am.

I did submit the filter so Monday you can see it. It's not easy to get different looking designs out of it, so the style of linoleum is limited.

Well, got the pics today and the videos. The camera was a very nice one, too bad the "photographer" took pictures and film like a complete amateur. The films are useless. There are only six pics of the whole wedding and they are of the flower girl and the ring bearers. They are dark, blurred, and there is more ceiling than people. The other pics are just as bad and I am doctoring the only pic that is sort of ok in a disposable camera sort of way.

The kids will ask all their friends for pics they took and Paul will ask his friend for the pics he took and maybe then we will have a few wedding pics.

The girl can't return the money as she already spent it...

irritated here...

We were going to get a camera, but then we both realized that I can't stand for very long and that floor runner was slippery. So we had to have someone and real photographers needed at least a month notice.

There were a lot of people taking photos, so there should be something.

I need to learn how to make a really cool filter. I look inside the ones that are really impressing me and can't figure out how you figure out what to make first, why use this component, and pretty much everything else on it. My brain is fried I think. smile:D

Well I'm back for more! I have made a few filters but I do not know what you guys might think of them. Any critique is welcome smile:banana:

ahimsa, post one of the 'ruined' pics here or send it to me email. you might be surprised what can be salvaged and resurrected. remember, i do retouching and restoration and photo art. i have some idea of what can and cant be saved/salvaged. or, rather than a 'ruined' one, send me one that is in bad shape but not completely shot and let me take a look. no guarantees, but cant hurt either, eh?
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I have been doctoring pics that are worth saving. The majority though are just very dark, very blurred, and only parts of the people's bodies. She got a real nice shot of the top of my husband's head, one of his back, one of him from the lips down to the waist. That is how many of the pics are.

What I am doing is cutting and pasting pieces together to make complete pics, correcting the color, and reducing the image size to get rid of other little defects...I have one pic completed and one almost complete.

We have decided to get the wedding party back in a few weeks and I will take the pics.

Good morning to all at FF and Carl's Corner smile:)

I'm still getting used to FF, even figuring out what tools do what job! I love the creativity!

I noticed in Ronviers filter page, he has a filter called 'Generate Tile'. A really interesting one and I would like to know how he got the silver globe into the filter editing page. I have tried but been unsuccessful. I'm curious!

Hi LF, thanks for looking at my filters. Here is a stripped down version that maybe you can use.
Wow! 13 filters. You have been busy. I will look at them when I get some time - very busy lately.
As for posting a pic. Use the 'Attach a file' Browse button to find the picture you want to post.
Good luck with your filter making, you're doing great. smile:)

There is another way. If you have an image hosted on another server you can use the 'Image' button. For example, if I wanted to post your lovely avatar, which is hosted on the FF servers, I would right click on it an click 'Copy Image Location' then paste that link into the box when prompted.

I was just reading that in the upcoming (May 9) release of Speed Racer that they used QuickTime VR (QTVR) to make HDRI environment balls for the movie backgrounds. QTVR allows the camera to move horizontally and vertically inside the environment balls to new areas of a scene – like moving from room to room in a house. But that’s not the best part, get this, they have layered the environment balls inside each other with each ball having an alpha channel allowing holes to be placed inside environment balls revealing other environment balls! So they filmed this movie inside these layers of HDRI environment balls! I gotta see that. smile:D

Lost internet again smile:evil:

Ahimsa - the wedding look a lot of fun, costume, colour excellent - mmmm where the one of you and Paul smile:)

Lady Fayre - you really might find it helpful to go through the library and find filters you like, open them up and see how they are made as a learning aid, then there are snippets which you can use in your own filters as well....... it's nice to have a new person posting in the corner smile:D

Good Morning Carl and thanks. Yes I have been doing that, still though mind you its never the same when you are doing it yourself and try and achieve same/similar filter as a test. A lot of what I have done so far is the result of tweaking various controls and finding the right result.

I recently added a filter which I really liked but the image came out wrong and was meant to look like this.

It is to represent bolts of water silk material and when you add seamless tiling, it becomes round box shapes of the same material
