I've been resting my hands today because I played to many hours non-stop in Dungeon Runner, but I need to clarify a few things here. Seems all the information I gave about NWN2 has only been understood completely by Craig, who is now the major spokes-person for this game while he is learning the in & out of it's workings

First, Neverwinter was the name of the first founder/ruler of the city Neverwinter. He was good and strong elf leader who passed on his legacy of rule and laws to those worthy to ascend to his throne as successor. He formed the Neverwinter Nine, an elite group of the 9 most trusted knights to his service and protection. You can strive to become a member if that is offered to you in someone's world or in the single player game that comes with buying NWN2.

Second, Neverwinter Nights 2 is role playing, meaning you play the character you build and name and lead through the game as the sort of person-character you choose him/her to be. There's lots of customization in the Character Build mode before you even enter a game. And you can create as many characters of different races and skills as you like, they will all be saved on your computer so you can enter a game with whichever character you wish. Also there are 30 career/professions to choose from, alone or in combinations as you advance in levels. And, yes only level 20 is achievable for now, but the expansion will hike that to level 30

Third, Steve, I was the one that introduced all of you, including Craig, to Neverwinter Nights 2, seems he grasped it right away, and Ahimsa was very interested too. So your question as to who would be interested in this game is partly answered... certainly I will play, by all mines! You seem interested, glad to see you finally got an idea of what it's all about now (hopefully...hehe), now will Carl?

Forth, When the expansion comes out in the middle of October there will be even more character races, such as celestials, which you can also choose from. There will be more new monsters, tile sets, music, careers and other goodies like weapons and armor to choose from

The only thing I know of as far as the question about audio sound through headsets to each other, that does not exist... yet. But you never know depending on how popular this game gets after it's first expansion comes out

P.S.(Craig, that world of yours is looking better than most I've tried to enter. You have a nice full look to it, not flat and empty... looks intriquing

I can't remember what game console you had.....XBox or Playstation??? Anywho, I found a way that we can plug them into our computers and play against each other online for free if we have the same game. It's called "Kai"......a free global gaming network.....

Did you check out "World of Warcraft"??? That is something I'd love to try out one of these days. Check out this video about the game.....kinda long.....but very interesting.....especially towards the end of it where they describe the different modes of gameplay.....

Now I understand what it's supposed to do. I'm slow at this computer geek speak stuff.

I went ahead and bought it. I decided I want to play the first set first so I can get to know the game from the beginning. It also will give me time to get my graphics card upgraded. Hope that's ok with the rest of you.

some more screenshots. worked mostly on scenery today and sort of defined my surrounding territory a bit more.

the only reason i'm posting this one is because i made this covered bridge from parts rather than using a pre-existing structure. kinda cool

ahimsa, sorry, but i'm not going back to NWN 1. i still have it somewhere, but not even sure it would run on an xp machine. and the grapics and chunky terrain features drove me sort of nuts. 2 is much better in that regard. but, if you havent played any NWN before, it's a good first step. you'll get a feel for how things work in that universe.

Well, since it won't be until after the New Year before I can get a new graphics card I will just be content to play the first NWN.

If anyone is interested in playing with me, just let me know and we can figure out how to do it.

Sorry about that one.... I'm partially to blame for it..... jffe and I thought that Hans was a dummy acount because he and Manon would always post simultaneously every time. I had no idea that jffe was getting pissed off about it.....I thought he was joking and played into it like it was an inside joke.....and the whole thing blew up in my face. I learned my lesson.....and will never get involved in anything like that ever again.....
