Been looking into this program over the past few days, and there is something that I can't understand after watching all the help videos and web forums. Skybase, you've recommended this program, and I see why, but how does one build the same threshold that exists here in FF for a start?
(2 images attached) My approach is to use the levels component, create 4 'Input Parameters' that can be called via the function controls in the 'Specific Parameters' Values ('Levels In Low', 'Levels In Mid', 'Levels Out Low', and 'Levels Out High') in the levels component. No problem, I get the same threshold and smoothing (with a custom f(x)) as here in FF, yea! ![]() But now to have it also accept image input for the control of all 4 parameters? I have succeeded in getting an 'FX-Map's 'Sample Color' node to work, but I can't seem to get 'Sample Color' to work in the Levels' function map. ![]() I'll probably go to pester someone there with this, but in the mean time... ![]() ![]() _____________________________________________________

By "function map" in the above I meant 'function graph'
I just threw these images together from a new 'substance' for an example. I do know how to 'Set as Output Node', etc. My problem is a black output image that doesn't behave correctly, like it did when I had sliders for the 4 variables instead of images. My guess is that it has something to do with the alpha in the color mode, but in grayscale mode there is the same problem. ![]() _____________________________________________________

Ha! Ha! I'll try it too. I'm already trying Nodewerk that is someway similar to FF and Rhinoceros + Grasshopper. I downloaded also some others, but I still have to check them.

Well, this a.m. the greyscale version I got to work for pixel image inputs, but now to make the function accept an entire image.
I think this might help: http://legacy-support.allegorithmic.com/node/731 I've had some fun with Grasshopper + Lightwave ![]() ![]() _____________________________________________________
