Welcome to this new awesome, amazing and mind blowing discovery for the creation of creative, original and cool images, I recommend you do not miss this if you like art.
I want to thank The first time I have seen something about this was when Skybase put this thread Google DeepDream It was good and interesting, but thought it was only a thing to be used by people that know how to use it as it was not GUI based, and thought that this was only a thing only that google could use. Then it appeared a GUI based software that cost 15$ but I did not buy it yet (see the thread above for this) The best thing was yet to come, when I saw this thread ?Filters like Pikazo? by Amy Hutton What is Pikazo? ![]() ![]() Please, first read the short thread above from Amy Hutton and the very good answer from Skybase in that thread Well is a evolution and variation of the idea taken from Google DeepDream and made very easy to use and customizable with your own images and own source. It seems to work in some way differently to the original DeepDream For now is an artistic app available in the Apple app store for 2.99$ (really it is worth a 100$) that I have to say that is really amazing, awesome, addictive and mind blowing, and will change the way you create and see things. If you do not have an iPad, it will be available for Android soon as it was told. And maybe they or another company could make an desktop computer version. Here are some articles about this new technique explained in more detailed way In this one there are great examples, with one original and then different art styles based on the same original New Neural Algorithm Can ‘Paint’ Photos In Style Of Any Artist From Van Gogh To Picasso and more explained or similar New algorithm gives photos Picasso-style makeovers this news The algorithm that can learn to copy ANY artist: Neural network can recreate your snaps in the style of Van Gogh or Picasso or this other from the Wired company This algorithm can create an imitation Van Gogh in 60 minutes |

There are a couple websites since deep style paper was published. So nobody needs to wait for any Android version.
https://dreamscopeapp.com/ http://www.deepart.io/ Although in the end the resolutions of these are pretty small given the massive amount of calculations needed. Even on my machine it takes 10 hours to get even a picture out. It's just not worth the wait. Pikazo is probably the nicest so far in terms of what it does. Although resolutions are a bit low. ----Adventure course---- If you're also a bit adventurous and a bit worried about uploading pictures to a possibly-not-so-secure servers, you can always self-install these things. It takes a couple dependancies but once you get those installed (relatively easy), you kinda open yourself up to a whole load of possibilities, including stuff like having no restrictions on resolution. I also recommend you have a beefy computer, and if you don't there's option for an amazon EC2 instance. Overall, don't be afraid of these things, they look intimidating but they're set up mostly so people who wanna use this stuff have an easier time. It looks nerdy because of the lack of interface of any kind. I guess most people aren't as adventurous so you can safely ignore all that above. |
