Hey wasup! My name's Sam, I'm studying Digital Apps at college and I'm a regular Photoshop user.

I've already downloaded Filter Forge and made a few filters but dunno if I'm doing the right thing (looks good to me though).

No doubt I'll be visiting this forum regularly smile:D

Thanks everyone. Ok, I've been busy creating a few filters (I've found myself addicted to it to be honest) so here's a preview as requested:

I call this one Alien Skin and was the 1st one I created:

This one is called Blood Worms and was the 2nd one I created:

This is my 3rd one and it is called Stealth. This one works well using different size canvases:

I've created several presets for each so all I need to know now is where to post the files to contribute.
I'll crack on creating more filters and I'll create some filters for photos too.
I hope you all like what I've come up with smile:D

#3 is pretty cool. Maybe try a 0.01-0.05 blur after the kaleidescope or whatever, to help lose that obvious line through the horizontal center. smile8)

Look good, 3rd in particular - to submit to library simply select the filter you want to submit in the FF Gui go to the top bar and click filter and you'll find the option for submit to library, then just follow the wizards directions smile:)

#2 and 3 remind me of hard candy.

Yeah thanks, I'll do that later tonight smile:)

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! I'm thinking of tinkering with said filters before I submit them but no doubt they'll be up tonight smile:)

Made a new filter called Snake Bite. This one's a lot better and I'll post a preview tomorow. Btw, be brutally honest with my work. If you think it's cack then tell me smile:)

Oh yeah, tried tinkering with Stealth but messed it up a little so I'll come back to that later.

Messing around is the best way.
This is something you probably already know about but if you do not. Filter Forge filters fall into two broad categories, effects and textures, within each of those categories there is a subcategory called snippets. Snippets were developed by fellow FFers for teaching filter design techniques or for use within your own filter designs. You are encouraged to copy what you need from a snippet and paste it into your own filter. Or if you have a question about how a snippet works post questions in the comment section and the author will reply. If you use another FFer's snippet or concept, it is expected that you will mention that in the filter's description.
Good luck, your filters are looking great.

Yeah I might try this. I kinda like making everything from scratch but if making some award-winning filters means I have to copy and paste then I'll do it. If this is the case then any snippets that I use will have credit to the author (nothing worse than someone "catting yo s#it" as it were).
