And directions to get rid of the nag screen (and yes, this is being given away as a promo, it is a legal freebee/promo, from the Corel website even).

- After downloading and installing it, here are the steps to remove the annoying "promo" nag screen/reminder:

1. After installing, close the program and open the following file in Notepad/Wordpad/MS Word:
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro X\PCUUI\Container.htm
2. Erase all the text, replace it with the following code (copy and paste):

CODE

location="pcucmd://Cancel?confirm=no";


3. Save it.

Where did you hear about this? I have checked the Corel website and couldn't find anything promoting this. The only reason I ask is because I read one website that said this was for Lexar customers, which I'm not. So even though I can access the page I don't know if I am suppose to be; legal or otherwise. I just want to do what is right. Thanks...

I dunno, but how could they not notice a zillion 106meg downloads a day ? It was on some free-program-of-the-day site or something I guess, I caught notice of it on a music forum this morning. And the word 'lexar' is in the links, but whatever Lexar is or sells, I have no idea. I guess you could always email Corel and ask them about it.
