When I open Filter Forge 7 from Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 on Mac, it takes several minutes for the Filter Forge plugin application to start. Once it has started, it works fine. This is annoying, as I like to do filters then jump right back into Filter Forge - two minutes is really too long for it to load.
I am using a fairly new computer (2018 MacBook Pro, 32GB Ram, 8GB GRAM, etc.), so I don't think it is an issue with my machine being too slow.
I do have a lot of filters installed, but back when I was using FF4 or FF5 I would have as many installed and it would start fast.
Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this problem?
Thanks!

There is a solution that will most likely resolve your issue - revert FF to its factory defaults.
Rename the following folder:
/Users/Your_User_Name/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge 7/
to any other name, say "Filter_Forge_7_old", and restart the program: your Filter Forge will be as good as new.

Thanks GMM,
While renaming the folder solves the problem of FF taking a long time to start up, it removes all the filters I have installed. When I reinstall the filters, it goes back to taking a very long time to load again.
I can't be 100% sure, but it seems like the more filters installed, the longer it takes to start. I would like to be able to start it quickly with a lot of filters installed.

It seems one (or a few) specific filters make your Filter Forge slow to start. The only way is to move back half of the filters and check the startup time: if startup is slow split the filters further in half, check again and continue splitting until you find the culprit.
