Hey there,
After my FF beta serial expired, I got a new serial which I entered into the latest version of the FF beta. It ran properly after that until I quit the application. Now... Filter Forge refuses to run totally.
I've tried several things so far:
1. Regular re-install by re-downloading the installer.
2. Re-installed by removing program components in the Library. (i.e. Application Support / Filter Forge ... so on)
3. Clean run. (Restart computer and then run without running other programs.)
None of these worked.
Here's some info:
Mac OS X 10.5.6
Processor 2.6 GHz Core2Duo
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Actually, I've noticed that the beta key will no longer authorize FF(I got a new machine recently, so the "Trial" reset). maybe the problem is related?

GMM, I haven't gotten any error messages. In fact, it probably didn't even run to make error messages appear, not even logs.
I placed the FF program in the dock and clicked it. It hops up once and it doesn't even do anything. It's not recognized as "running" in the activity monitor and other utilities at all.
That's far as I can go up to.
I otherwise I feel I should just do a real deep-clean (which I already done, but to no success.) I'll probably try it again.

Okay, I tried clearing out everything from receipts, preferences, to application support files (all of these have been backed up.)
No, the program still refuses to open It leaves no error message, and I have a feeling it left no log too.

That's strange. Have you tried reinstalling the latest v. 1.015?

Yes, in fact that's what I've been installing and deleting when failed. I actually downloaded the item several times across several days (not that anything changes...)
Whatever the case, I'm figuring I can wait for a new update OR simply try tempting different ways to get the program going.

Skybase, the developers say they've caught something and will try to fix this ASAP. At least, the credit for finding the bug goes to you
