Hey, I just bought Filter Forge and I downloaded the .dmg, when i go to run it, i click on trial to enter my key, the main window will flash up and then crash. there is a small red circle with a white line through it on the filter forge folder in my applications folder, does this mean anything?

Exactly the same problem I had (still not working). After you deinstall and reinstall, that red circle on the folder goes away but the permissions are weird, as noted in my other thread.
Looks like I'm not the only one having this problem, so hopefully it's easier to debug, as opposed to a one-of.

Jason,
I'm sure the FF crew will get our problems solved. Soon hopefully. I'm on 10.6.6.
Could there be a problem with the .dmg that we downloaded? GMM would it be possible for you to download the .dmg that customers download and test it to ensure that it's not corrupted somehow?

Please check if permissions on this folder are set to full access.

yes, the crash report comes up and its the apple one.... I staying the night at a friends house but I'll get back to on that permissions thing.  |

I changed the permissions on the folder, by going to the folders info and under sharing and permissions changed _unknown's, wheel's and everyone's privilege to read and write. no better ,  . |

Please create a new user with full admin rights. Login under this account and reinstall Filter Forge.

I did, and it worked! but is there a way to get it onto my current user? It would suck to have to log out and in every time I needed to use it.  |
