After using for weeks without any errors, suddenly it's complaining of a user interface error when used with CS3, and it won't work alone either without crashing. The only change made today was an upd ate to a totally unrelated se t of filters from PlugIn Galaxy, but when I delete those from the plugins folders the damn FF2 still crashes. smile:evil: smile:?: I hope someone has some suggestions...I'm running a new Mac with 8 GB memory, and was looking forward to the fast speeds, not crashes!!

You need to remove the filters from ~/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge 2/System/Cache as well.

Please provide the exact error message, both for the plugin and standalone errors.

Here is the error message for CS3: could not complete the Filter Forge 2 command because of a problem with the filter module interface.

For standalone: now I can't get it to crash on standalone. More later.

Most probably caused by a corrupt filter in the filter library. Please go to Users > Your_User_Name > Library > Application Support > Filter Forge 2 > System and rename the Library folder to something different (say, Library1). After that try to start Filter Forge again.

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried the filter library renaming, then the preference deletions, and neither worked. So, I deleted the whole plugin and all related folders and files and did a fresh install. It now works perfectly. No idea what caused it, but it now works again and my blood pressure has dropped to a normal reading. Thanks again for the help!
