It just can't be

I'm a newbie, so please be kind. I did start by looking in the forums for answers with little luck.
After downloading filter forge 3.0 for my trial version, I noticed that I needed to bring in this large folder fr om my app. folder
into PS to see my new filters, question #1, do I need the whole folder or just part of it . It shows 2 universal pluggin's, 1 ppc plugin plus more.
I also downloaded 2 of the freebie packs, in the download i see another filter forge application attached to each download.
When i launch each of the new application i see the new filters, but when i launch the original application there is no sign of them. Am i suppose to copy & paste certain files. I know i don't need 3 versions of the app. , do I ??
I also changed the render ram usage from 60% to 90% any reason not to ?
I know this is way to early to ask, but this is a trial version & i didn't see a un-install, wh ere is it hiding ?
