Hi All

Just purchased FF 3, and got the DVD with all the filters included. The instructions say to put them in a directory that does not exist!
Name > Library > Application Support and paste the System folder to the Filter Forge 3.0 folder. > There is no such folder.

The system folder is actually inside APPS/FF3 folder, in resources. But when I replace this system folder, nothing changes in the app. The same filters are available, but not the huge library.

What am I doing wrong?

The folder exists but Apple doesn't want you to see it. To make the Library folder visible please launch Terminal from Spotlight or Launchpad > Utilities, and enter the following command to show the directory:
chflags nohidden ~/Library/

The Library folder should become visible again, and you'll be able to extract the archive into ~/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge 3/.

You can option click when you go into the "go" menu when you're in the finder. That reveals the library in the menu. smile;)

OK thanks for the additional information on how to get this folder to show up. Of course when spending over 300 bucks for software one would think this process would be easier—and it couldn't hurt to specify this trick in the instructions.
Now when I launch the app the icon bounces in the dock for a minute or two and then nothing. So far not very professional!

If you load up all 9000 something filters all at once... That'll take a very long time to load!! It's like opening 9000 images in photoshop. I recommend dealing them in reasonable chunks but eerm... if you load up any program with a ton of things... it's gonna get super slow loading stuff.
