I would have reported this in the built in FF Bug Report thing if I could find it. But I can't. Can someone please tell me where it is? I'm probably just overlooking it somehow. Thanks.
When I re-use a filter, that is, just click Command F in Photoshop CS4, the filter runs, but the layer doesn't change, and the layer Thumbnail in the Layer Panel shows a dotted grid, until I double click the layer to Open the Layer Styles dialog, or move away from the program, and then back to it.
I haven't tried this with all the filters yet, of course, but it's been happening with all the ones I have tried, very consistently.
To reproduce it,
1. Select any layer of any file, and run a Filter Forge filter.
2. After it's done, select another layer, or leave the same layer selected, and tap Command F to run the filter again with the same settings.
3. The filter will run, but neither the layer nor the thumbnail will update.
4. Repeat as often as you like, and leave it as long as you like. No layers will update, and all thumbnails will show a dotted grid pattern. Move layers around, or add more layers and fill them with solid colors, change Layer Visibility, or do anything at all you want to do. The image will remain unchanged, and will show whatever it was showing before the filter was reused.
5. Double click any layer in the Layer Panel, or leave PS and then come back. All the layers and layer thumbnails will update.
I'm running Mac OS 10.5.6 on a G5 Mac Pro, 2x3 Quad-core Intel Xeon, with 4 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM RAM, with an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT graphics card.
