Here are a few little details that could be implemented that would make creating a filter a much more delightful experience:

Clicking once (and not holding) on an output should give you the connection arrow attached to the cursor. Clicking on an input would connect it, clicking in open space would release it.
Why this is important:
When a user has so many patches on screen that they need to move the mouse a considerable distance, the current necessity to have the mouse button held means they might have to lift their hand up and still try to hold the button – not a very easy thing to do.


Holding the option key should allow for quick output reuse. When a user has the option key held while connecting the outputs to inputs, Filter forge should automatically create a new arrow for the user to connect from the same output they just connected from.

Why this is important: This allows outputs to be streamed into new inputs without having to mouse all the way back over just to grab the arrow
