I tried installing 1.016 from within the Filter Forge app. Everything went as it should, but when I tried to run the standalone application, I got the error:
I downloaded the installation manually, and re-ran it, and got the same problem. Next I'll try deleting the app (so it will install instead of 'upgrade'), and doing a clean install. |

Deleting the app and reinstalling doesn't work: I still get the same message.

dansroka, please report your Mac OS version. A screenshot of the error message would be helpful as well.

Thank you, dansroka. The credit for the bug goes to you.
All user settings are stored in '/Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge'. |

Thanks.
I just tried deleting the app be deleting these folders: - Applications/Filter Forge/ - /Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge And then reinstalling the app. The installer still only have me the option to 'Upgrade', and when I did, I got the same error as above. How can I completely uninstall the application? The directory /Library/Receipts/ contains two files named Filter Forge: - filterForge.pkg - filterForgeInstallables.pkg Should i get rid of those to do a clean install? Thanks, Dan |

There should be 3 files named Filter Forge there. They notify the installer that Filter Forge is already installed on the machine – so if you want a clean installation you should erase them as well. Unfortunately reinstalling FF will not fix the bug in v. 1.016 that prevents it from running. Please wait for us to release a hotfix for this. |

Thanks for working on it. Is there an older version of the beta available online?

We've released the hotfix that eliminates the 'damaged application' issue. Please download it and reinstall using this link: http://www.filterforge.com/download/F...0Setup.dmg

Can I ask why the problem occurred and what was the fix done for the 'damaged application' issue? Thanks.

leo, the fix was for v. 1.016. There were no issues reported with 1.017, you can download it from the download page.
