So, I've been just hoping this was just FF/My System being funky, but a while later and I still can't activate FF.

Basically, I copy-and-paste the info from the email into FF and get that error message. smile:(

Or more probably, you are trying to enter a FF 1.0 key into a 2.0 installation smile:)

Sorry, I should have specified that this was from the 2.0 lifetime upgrade email, and it's in a 4x4 character format.

Then it is Windows, as the reward system only make windows keys. I've got a mail from our favourite support Victoria stating that. So mail her (just reply the mail) and she will fix it and you can join the line in the Cheer for Victoria thread smile;-)
