Can beta filters earn reward point?

The beta download page explains that filters created in the beta can't be added to the online library and thus can't earn reward points. However, I read on this forum that beta filters can now be submitted to the library so does that also mean they can earn reward points? I would think so and I suppose I could just upload one and see, but I would rather just clarify it up front. I'm surprised that beta filters are accepted to the library. I guess there aren't any more big changes happening before the full release.
