I just offset a bunch of rectangles based on a 5x7 grid, then blurred a bit and then threshold lol. Not very clever! smile:-p

I'd never heard of Dundjinni before, it looks pretty neat! Your tile filters fit the theme really well.

The reason I bought FF was to make textures to use with Dundjinni. Some people play golf as a hobby, I make RPG-maps. They buy expensive shoes, clubs and membership cards, I buy cool software smile;-)

nice ones, CF! i like that first one best, but the second has some nice depth. is it a bit blurry like that on purpose or just from shrinkage in posting?

Very pretty, Red. smile:) Try experimenting with the spiral shape, like in my Circular Tunnel filter or Sjeiti's snail filter.

Don't tell me you guys have never heard of Chuck Close? Just google his name and you'll see what I'm trying to replicate here.

Hey, cool! (Now it just needs to be 10' tall!)

So, how are you getting the colors inside the grids? By separating out the existing colors, or is it just by setting the variation for the particles?

So ... I tried doing something intense. In fact this is probably the biggest filter I ever created. Let me explain.

I recently upgraded "Photoygraphy 1.5" to 1.8 its got some nifty new features that makes that photo look more older. Yes, it has some 2.0 features including the bomber to add a certain effect. BUT anyway.... So if you know this filter, this filter takes any image and makes it look retro. It diverts RGB channels and plays with it a bit, then adds a lot of intense effects to make it look like it was taken with a cheap camera.

Then a friend of mine called me up and began talking about a fairly complex project which required backgrounds. I wanted to show her a filter which I created that made things look like paintings. If you go back some pages back on this thread, you'll find them. I posted 3 examples smile;)

Either way, I was pondering for a while, then I thought to myself what if I marry these two filters together!! So I did. It's super heavy at this point. But the results are quite interesting. The fiter's now a big bulk. I'm stripping it done to its bare minimum. You'll see smile;)

Okay I do admit some bits and pieces are still rather heavy, but this can be easily fixed. smile;)

OK, I'm gonna show some of the things I've been doing lately. I know, these are useful only for roleplaying game nerds that are into mapmaking, but it is done with FilterForge smile;-)

First, a tavern stool

Edit -damn file size limits ;-( , I use transparent PNGs with drop-shadown.
